it’s a shame more vampire media doesn’t pull from vampire bat behavior because they’re such sweeties. they can only survive their incredibly specialized diet because bats will share blood with colony members that didn’t find a meal! there’s evidence that suggests the donors sometimes initiate this behavior themselves by approaching hungry bats! the colonies are mostly harems of females with a few males but they’ve been observed letting unrelated males in when it gets cold so they can all stay warm! cute little social critters!

my problem is if i enjoy something enough i will be nitpicking. i Will have things to say about where and how it failed. out of nothing but love straight from my heart. unfortunately this often makes me indistinguishable from a hater who has never experienced joy or kindness. such is the amateur critic's burden.

Personally if I see a retailer using Stripe for payment processing I will take my business elsewhere, if possible letting the retailer know why. But this doesn't mean going off on the poor soul working checkout for minimum wage and brutal hours.

Respectfully, I'm not sure that's the optimal tactic, because there are so few payments options available for businesses. Like, the entire reason adult creators are so stressed about this is because we don't have many options other than Stripe! But if you were to take this tactic, you wouldn't be pledging to any Kickstarter, adult or not, because the entire website processes payment with Stripe.

When I had an active shop on ko-fi, credit cards went through stripe. That's not something I had control over.
