Hey I’m Paperairplanes (real name Sara). Bisexual aromantic. As a queer middle school teacher in the fascist state of Florida (yes I am God’s strongest soldier), you owe me $5 if you say any shit about red states in the USA, book bannings, or about teaching middle schoolers. The Agatha All Along special interest will not go away but I’m also a Leverage blog sometimes and about once a year I get REALLY into the show Twin Peaks. I’m Laura Barton’s #1 fan and defender and I ship her in a poly triad with Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff (wanna also ship it? I can convert you in 30 seconds). I’m medicated for ADHD now so I can do things like write 26,000 words in 2 months.

We are running a small convention Friday to Sunday THIS WEEKEND! Content ranges from an MCU rewatch for Clint Barton and Natasha Ramanoff, panels on a range of community interests such as Barton Farm, hockey and Bridgerton, and fanfic, poetry, and crafting events. Here's how to join us at our community discord where the con will be taking place.
Our community rules will apply. In addition:
- Attendees can choose to participate with sound and/or video on or off. If you would like to ask a question during any of the panels, please type 'Q' or 'Question' in the chat if you'd like to ask yourself with sound on or type your full question in the chat and the moderator will ask for you. Please make sure that you are on mute during panels unless asking a question.
- Panelists will use sound, but video is optional.
- Every panel and event will have a moderator to help things run smoothly.
- Will will not be recording or transcribing any content and ask that attendees also respect this for everyone's comfort. You can feel free, however, to make notes, summaries, and copy chat text if you choose.
- If you have any questions, please ask in the comm discord '2026 con planning' channel, or @ paperairplanesopenwindows or inkvoices on the comm discord.
- Please be respectful of everyone taking part in our small con and have fun :)
Each panel will last 50mins, including questions. The start times for all panels and events are in UST/GMT below. (What time is it for me?) A shared google sheet is also available on discord. Everything will be taking place on the 'con specific' voice channel, with the exception of the MCU rewatch which will be in the 'General' voice channel.

Discord is supposedly saying this is going to affect "only 10% of users", but I really don't believe them at all. It's always going to be way worse and affect more people than what they claim.
EDIT: Originally I also included a link to an article, about a tool that could be used to trick face scans for ID checks. I've since been informed that the tool has actually been non-functional for months, checking the GitHub for the tool itself confirms this. I'm very sorry about sharing that link without check on the tool itself!
I don't know of any other alternatives that would help bypass face scans, but hopefully someone else in the reblogs will share something new and working. Or otherwise we hopefully get to a point where Discord stops their nonsense for good.
I get so annoyed when people try to make me feel bad for hating Mansfield Park bc they always try to twist it into “actually you’re a misogynist bc you probably dislike Fanny for being too passive” meanwhile I don’t hate Mansfield Park bc of Fanny, oh no, I loved Fanny as a protagonist, in fact I identified far too much with her. My issue is the novel reads like a psychological horror story to chronic people pleasers like me bc what do u mean after all she went through she married EDMUND who’s a truly horrendous love interest, like don’t get me wrong I obviously did not want her to marry Henry but… ew… Edmund. Like I think I genuinely would’ve preferred a secret third suitor to swoop in like some sort of deus ex machina and show Fanny that there are many fish in the sea and she does not have to marry the first guy she ever had a crush on. Or alternatively I wish that Edmund had developed more as a character but oh well
The tags: #before anyone comes for me I would like to add I understand that the ending is happy to Fanny#just as an outside observer I cannot help but think she deserves better#like I also understand that marrying Edmund is an upgrade to her social status so to speak#and it would perhaps not necessarily be realistic to decline that in hopes of better options blablabla#i just wish I found edmund minimally more redeemable as a character
