Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1/2 cup white chocolate chips. 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a 10-inch skillet. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating well until combined. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies. Press the cookie dough evenly into the greased skillet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Remove from the oven and let the skillet cookie cool for a few minutes before serving. Optional: Top with extra crushed peppermint candies or a scoop of peppermint ice cream. Slice into wedges and enjoy!
