The tumblrest sentence I have ever seen

some of star trek characters are so vacuum sealed into their clothes that tumblr automatically flags them as soon as i try to post. and by some, i mean that it happened four times: to t'pol, to seven of nine, to a crewman wearing the tos motion picture uniform, and to a sulliban from star trek enterprise, photographed from behind, flat-fuck-fridaying under a door. this selection gives us a somewhat of an across-the-franchise overview of the the look.

the sulliban are really good, honestly. they wear these boat-necked gymnast onesies which really do absolutely nothing for the actors and when they're naughty their boss takes their genes away. they also talk to mysterious people from the future. you'd think this would be really relevant but it doesn't come up much because everybody in star trek enterprise talks to people from the future, and some of them are covered in even more unflattering outfits, like crewman daniels, who has a shirt made out of pipes.

there's also this episode when archer finds out that sulliban across the galaxy including children are opressed and put in detention camps because they're all assumed to be a part of the gene-altering troupe. which i always felt like was trying to talk about Arabs in USA but i'm kind of afraid to bring this up because then we have to ask the crucial question of "did they name them sulliban because they're the space taliban?" and who among us is ready for that?
