The pomegranate is a symbol of fertility and abundance in chinese culture. It’s a common decorative element at weddings (the letter for “seed” is the same as for “son”, so the fruit symbolises a wish for many sons, to carry on the family name - this is all traditional stuff from way back). Jian Yi is essentially inviting Zhengxi to make (become) a family with him, one that is wealthy and stable. Zhengxi is being cast as the “wife” here, since he’s the one biting into the fruit.

Listen, listen, hear me out 😭

Obviously we can conclude Mo and He Tian’s time apart was painful for the both of them, but why is Mo baring the responsibility of moving forward and doing better, when he isn’t the one who abandoned He Tian? Seeing He Tian sulk and guilt trip Momo is actually very annoying, Mo has every right to be upset and doubtful and mean to He Tian until he feels secure in their relationship, and clearly he didn’t/doesn’t, meanwhile He Tian gets exactly what he wants with no shame and no apology. It isn’t fair to my dear Momo ): I need to see time skip He Tian suffering and regretting his decision to leave Momo and missing him every single day. I need to see how much it hurts him to have hurt Mo, more than that one little panel of him discovering Mo’s memory box. I want to see Momo guilt tripping He Tian, He Tian being the one running after and coddling him with sweet words and affirmations >:^(
