So I see shipping as basically putting my complex dolls in different scenarios and hypotheticals, but I guess a lot of people tend to see it as their permanent interpretation of the text. Like, I have no problem multishipping, or shipping character who I simultaneously do not want to get into a relationship in canon, because to me all those ships are basically micro AUs. But I sometimes see people get really mad about people shipping certain characters like "how dare you interpret this strong platonic bond as romantic? why do you have to drag sex into everything" or “why do you think they should be with X over Y?” and it really confuses me because I don't feel like I am or I do. I can value the canon strong friendship or relationship and wonder what would happen if their relationship turned romantic/sexual or they ended up with someone else. I don't really get why this seems to be the more uncommon approach

sometimes u headcanon a character as a sexuality but then also ship things that contradict that. sometimes you ship things you would NEVER EVER want in canon. this is because these things are fun and silly and not legally binding.

yes i do ship those characters but i ship them in an infinitely more aroace way than you will ever be able to comprehend

they're not "dating" they're not "a couple" they're intrinsically connected and intertwined with each other for eternity. they're bound together like the stars. get with the program

Its genuinely insane to me how white fandom will bend over backwards to excuse, justify or deny racism and the frustrations of fans of color, like they'll find a handful of poc that don't have an issue with whatever is going on and they'll be validated enough to continue thinking its not a problem, they'll accept apologies not meant for them and get upset when others dont, they'll publicly announce how they forgive white creators like their making a stand against something, and blanket all criticism and fans of color speaking up as hate, bullying, harssment and bad faith. I thought fandom was supposed to be fun and inclusive, i thought we were supposed to be critical of what we consumed? How come fans of color can never truly escape from reality in fandom and media?
