i do think tfoo is a stronger contender for roty than soty when you consider the songs it's up against currently. barring something big coming out in the next month and a half, i think man i need, where is my husband, and i just might are her biggest competition in roty. you can never underestimate bruno with the grammys, but i don't think any of those 3 come close to tfoo's chart success and public permeance. olivia dean and raye may also struggle a bit with out of sight, out of mind unless they have tricks up their sleeves with their campaigning.

SOTY she could pull a Bonnie Raitt anytime and get it with any genre, but ROTY heavily favors and considers chart success and public permeance of a song, which TFOO has excelled beyond expectations. It's top 15 on Youtube chart even 9 months later, which no one thought would happen for an American hit in the 2020s

i do think her best shot at a roty atip is with max and it may be harder to get going forward if she does go into more country direction and/or explores a large ranges of sounds/genres a la red. maybe i'm giving the grammys too much credit, but they have shown they will eventually award an artist once people think that artist is well overdue which i think is what will happen at some point with soty.

Ella had 1 hit Billboard Hot 100 hit and everybody looking at her as his mega worldwide superstar. It’s one thing to have a number hit song but longevity and consistency is even more difficult achieve.

The Grammy’s are unpredictable so who knows, she can still get SOTY

Finally Taylor gets the biggest hit of her life and is overshadowed by an anomaly that is the biggest country hit ever. Worst luck.

yeah I took that anon as if Taylor doesn't get it this year then maybe ts13 out next year or whatever can help her in the future for future nomination

If TS13 is country enough, that would probably put her over the edge. // the event is in October so unless she starts hinting at ts13 for this year and it being country… I don’t see it being relevant
