@staff I’m trans and I’m mad. I’m not welcome here, but the people who hate me are, and that’s your fault.

I came here to see help on trans issues, to get advice on how to live my life in a way that didn’t make me wanna die. There have always been shitty people here, but at least there were quarters where I could find some good. And now, you’re punishing the good people for the sins of the bad ones; you are saying that my existence is not safe for people, when trans people are unsafe every day. You contribute to the hate. You add to our pain. And to add insult to injury, you callously attempt to monetize the very communities you damage. You sell us to advertisers so you can make a quick buck by cutting away our very humanity, because you’re too lazy to implement a proper solution. I don’t know when you guys lost your soul; maybe you never had one. So I’ve got a question for who you’re gonna stand with.

Attached to this post is an inverted picture of my bared chest. It’s “male-presenting.” I am a woman. If you guys really think you’re so righteous on this front, ban me. If not, go deal with the bots and the Nazis and whatnot in an appropriate manner, rather than punishing people like me for existing in a way you don’t like, because people who stand with Nazis are no better.

A fan mapped out how many words Daryl has said on ‘The Walking Dead’ since season one and it’s eye opening

Fans have said that Daryl hasn’t spoken much on “The Walking Dead” for years now, and we finally have proof to back it up.

One hero fan went through the series’ first eight seasons and painstakingly tracked how many words Daryl (Norman Reedus) spoke on the show each year. Reddit user Da1tonTheGreat shared a simple chart mapping out the number of words Reedus spoke on the show’s subreddit.

It’s eye opening.

The chart shows a drastic drop in dialogue for Daryl during seasons five, six, and seven while Scott M. Gimple was the series’ showrunner. Daryl spoke the most lines during season four, also while Gimple was in command, and had significantly more lines early on during the show’s first few seasons.

What was going on during season seven?

Daryl was imprisoned and tortured for a good portion of season seven by Negan and his Saviors. Negan tried breaking Daryl to try and make him one of his own. Daryl felt a lot of personal grief after taking responsibility for the death of close friend Glenn at Negan’s hands.

Now that a year and a half has passed since the end of the war with Negan, Daryl is speaking again a lot. “The Walking Dead” also has a new showrunner in the series’ longtime writer Angela Kang. Fans immediately noticed the difference in how much Daryl has been speaking during the show’s latest season.

Reedus is aware of the change, too, and addressed it recently on “Walking Dead” aftershow, “Talking Dead.”

“The last couple of seasons I didn’t say much, that’s true,” said Reedus after the series’ season nine premiere. “It’s always been story first. And [former showrunner] Scott [M. Gimple] was always story first. He would tell me, 'Don’t worry, you’ll talk again one day.’”

Well, Daryl’s speaking and we don’t plan to see him stopping soon with Andrew Lincoln departing the series as Rick Grimes this season.

So, as most of us already noticed, Venom (2018) sure feels like a romantic comedy disguised as a superhero (well, antihero technically) movie. But is it truly? The short answer is yes, but I didn’t just spend my afternoon hunting proof to leave you with a short answer.

Now, I must note that Venom is really not the first superhero movie to mix another genre in. Off the top of my head, and perhaps most obvious, Ant-Man is mixing superheroics with a heist movie. Black Panther has the political thriller going. Thor: Ragnarok is a full blown cocktail, adding at least three more genres to the original one. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that someone thought to mix in romcoms, and I for one am grateful that our first example of it has alien slime falling in love with a guy.

Because that’s what happened, despite certain people bending over backwards just to not acknowledge it. But I promised you proof, so let’s get to it.

How do you determine if something is a romantic comedy or not? “That’s just the vibe I got” is really not going to cut it in a debate. But what is a vibe if not our subconsciousness recognizing a certain pattern? In this case, the pattern was the plot structure. Not being a huge fan of romcoms in general, though, I wasn’t sure how to put it into words. Thankfully, I didn’t need to: with a bit of googling, I found out that most articles have referred to the same source when it came to the romcom plot structure: a book “Writing the Romantic Comedy” by Billy Mernit. According to him, all romantic comedies can be broken down into seven story beats. How many of those would you guess does Venom follow? Hint: it’s all of them.
