on another note everyone NEEDS to immediately go read (or listen) to the unselected journals of emma m. lion. new favorite books by far, they are the best books i have read in perhaps a long while! incredibly well written and crafted, indulgent in the most lovely way possible, witty, hilarious, and some of the most fantastic characters i have ever had the pleasure to read.
definitely for lovers of british/uk period pieces and perhaps anne of green gables lovers. slow burn in the best possible way esp bc romance is not the main focus at all, books still coming out and going so so strong. there's eight volumes, ninth coming out this year! but generally quick reads esp the first few, i binged all eight (reading and listening) in a little over a week
