I have a disease called I can’t reply to your text. I love you
one positive I can see to polyamory is having more people to beat when you come home drunk
no literature necessary, the description alone made me laugh helplessly
Why is falling asleep on the couch so effortless. It's like a drug

I will surpass my opps
Ppl r so nationalistic now that they automatically take criticisms of a nation as criticisms of its people and if u point out something bad about a government then they take it as u being racist or xenophobic against the ppl who live there
What are your thoughts and feelings on moisturizing? Should it be subject to criticisms from radfems?
I always thought that only soap and moisturizer are really necessary. Soap to keep you clean and stink free, and moisturizer to keep you from itching / cracking / peeling / generally feeling unpleasant from dry skin.
However, I recently saw someone say a "hot take" that most lotions and moisturizers are just scams, all they do is evaporate and leave a residue on your skin to trick you into believing it moisturized you and did something.
I'm feeling skeptical of this. I live in a very cold and dry climate, so my skin cracks and bleeds from dryness if I don't moisturize. But I'm wondering if maybe there might be some weight to this, with some moisturizers it really does feel like they don't do anything, so this might be true at least for cheaper moisturizers maybe.
What are your thoughts and feelings on moisturizers? Do you think some moisturizers are just a scam to get money?
- I think none or very few moisturizers are scams that don't actually do anything
- I think a lot of moisturizers are just scams that don't actually do anything
- Most or all moisturizers are just scams that don't actually do anything
- Other / nuance

if you have dry skin sure but no need to spend $40 on it. its like buying tums in my opinion you use it when you need it to solve a problem

Clicked wrong. Meant to click Other/Nuance:
Having lived four or five winters in a row where the skin of my hands did crack and bleed, it's definitely needed sometimes. What I think is a scam is that everyone needs to be moisturizing all the time. I've never needed to do it in the summer, and I haven't the past few winters either. And never more than my hands, wrists and elbows. I think some of these products probably create/exacerbate a problem so then you become dependent on them.
Some people just have dry skin. Humans have been rubbing stuff on our skin to fix that since prehistoric times. What *is* a scam are fad ingredients in moisturizer. Rice water, centella, snail mucin, royal jelly... just a few off the top of my head that have been fads in the last decade. Many fad ingredients, if connected with skin at all, will only improve your skin if you ingest them. Like collagen, which fundamentally Doesn't Work Like That in your skin.
There are some which have benefits when directly applied. Cocoa butter, many seed oils. But these stay the same and aren't easily trademarked and sold at fashion prices.
