The 1:17 section is debatable since the way I counted it all the hits are off beat in those 6/4 bars but it’s just how I hear the meter. In general also the 6/4 could just be counted as 2 bars of ¾ instead (and similarly 11/8 broken down into 5/8 + 6/8).

This is one of those cases where the timesig stuff shouldn’t be too surprising since Yoh Ohyama was (and still is) the main guy for the prog band Asturias, which has been going since the 80s. He has plenty of other very proggy vgm…and non-vgm of course too! 

I’m actually very lucky to have re-found this, I knew of it since like 2010 when someone else had linked it online, and had lost the link and could not remember what this was for the longest time, only remembering vague details about the title and that I loved it. Only recently did I manage to find an old document from back then that happened to have all the links from the place I found this from and dug through hundreds of them until I re-found this! So glad I did that, it was worth it just to hear this one again lol.

Ruby: I worry too... I know he was adopted by the Time Lords, but that was still his home, and I don't know if he knows his biological home planet.

Ruby: I dunno. Mine fought off the God of music and also lead a pretty good musical battle against the goblin king.

Everyone: Okay, at least one normal Doctor Story

Kate, who likes to remind everyone that Unit is recruiting and share her father's stories: I remember the time cubes fell out of the sky and he actually had to stick around on Earth for a while. Went near insane, could barely sit still for an episode of Eastenders.

Ruby: I think he's binge watched Bridgerton at least six times.

Jack, a bit too excited: Is he a romantic this time around?

Ruby: Oh, absolutely, we met this Flirty American Bounty Hunter in Regency England and him and the Doctor kind of had a... You know, a thing. The Doctor really liked him.

Jack, gripping the chair until it cracks: Wow, so cool. Glad that he apparently has a type.

Martha, annoyed that apparently the Master is STILL alive apparently: Yeah, he just sucks. I wonder if Everyone from Gallifrey sucks, and it's just a biological thing.

Ruby: I mean, he seemed fond when he spoke about the Bishop, the Rani and the Conquistador?

Martha: Who?

Ruby: Oh, other time Lords.

Martha, who only got information on the Master once he'd literally taken over the world: This is fine.
