So I found out it’s actually pretty easy to get to Dunraven Bay without a car! You can literally do it as a Sunday afternoon trip from Cardiff. Take the train to Bridgend, walk to the bus station, take the 303 to Llantwit Major and get off at the Three Golden Cups (a lovely pub where you can also spend the time if you have to wait for the return bus). From there it’s a relatively short walk to the bay*. There’s a small tourist centre with a super kind and helpful lady some way into the valley and a beautiful hiking trail further along the cliffs, so it’s still very much worth exploring after you took the obligatory Bad Wolf Bay pictures (also five stars from me for the clean toilets at the bay). I’ll hopefully get myself to post a few more pictures of the area later 🫶

*Please note that I’m writing this for the fitness level of a chubby but stubborn middle-aged couch potato (who, for full disclosure, fcked up both knees from stubbornly walking above their fitness level, so make of that what you will).
