Much has happened in the past few months: we’ve received a response to the FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) request to New York City, and are currently studying it to understand the ramifications.

For those unaware, Transfeminist Action is preparing legal efforts to ensure Tumblr is free of discriminatory moderation. Trans and Black women are disproportionately banned or marked as “mature” for posts as simple as selfies or asking for mutual aid, and this is patently discriminatory. We’ve decided to expand our committee to ensure we have the continuing capacity to pursue the action we want.

Our committee runs on the consent of its members, but whether you want to join the below roles or not, all are welcome! All we ask is for the time and willingness to help out. We do have formal meetings, but 100% attendance isn’t a hard requirement. We’re currently looking for:

💬 Co-head of Public Communications

Our public communication channels are Tumblr and Bluesky. Outreach helps us build momentum, especially for volunteers and evidence.

Presently we do bi-monthly public updates. As co-head you may also run Q&As or whatever you think helps!

As the co-heads on this team are all TME, they have asked for nominees for this role to be TMA.

How does application work?

RADICAL SATURDAY

in competitive games, knowing what characters and strategies are popular among players lets you make educated guesses on what things you'll face within the game itself. if you don't have at least some awareness of the meta you're gonna get smoked because you didn't know what you were up against. there is this additional layer of "game" outside the game itself that you need to engage with to play this game, hence the name metagame.
