He was a enjoyable cuss who didn’t care for war mongering.

Especially profitable war mongering and excuses for it!

He certainly didn’t like selfish husbands and fathers!

Politicians who turned on their words once they got theirs weren’t safe.

He said fuck the police!

He absolutely didn’t like people ruining little things for kids.

He stood up for foreigners. Especially those doing their best to communicate with limited second language knowledge.

He was not having any tomfoolery when it came to gun safety and laws. Especially with youth involved.

You had better not abuse a animal with him nearby. He’d right that wrong real quick!

And best of all him and his wife were both prickly cusses together. Relationship goals.

Bragi is a hot-tempered poet known for his unmatched skills with the harp and story-telling. Snorri writes that Bragi is renowned for wisdom and, most of all, for fluency of speech and skill with words.  

There is some debate about whether or not Bragi is a "god" in the sense he is the child of Odin and Gunlod, Jotun guardian of the mead of poetry, or if he was initially a human being elevated to god status. There is room for honoring human beings, as many of us honor heroes, and most of us honor ancestors, but I am personally of the opinion Bragi was not human-born.  

Bragi has a few relatively well-defined relationships in the myths:

We see him and Aegir enjoying one another's company over drinks and conversations.

We see him act aggressively toward Loki.

We see him in a loving marriage with the goddess Idunn.

He also has ties to Kvasir since Kvasir's blood was the key ingredient in the mead of poetry, which Bragi's mother was charged with defending.  

But this way of believing says that a stream or a tree isn't just a Thing, you can't just use it however you want, it's a Life and you owe it respect. And if you want to cut down a tree, you have to think really hard about whether you really need to use that tree, because there's a Process, and you have to really think about and dwell on the fact that you're killing something that's alive and that gives life.

And the important thing is, if you see the trees and plants and rivers as sacred and living, dumping toxic radioactive waste in the water and clear cutting the forest is an unthinkable act of sacrilege. If you see that the mountains are sacred and have spirit, you can't rip them wide open to blast and dig out coal with dynamite and pickaxes.
