Sketch of Iðunn~🍎
Raaaaa Fenris. He makes a wonderful subject for vent art like this. I got to meet him recently. Grumpy lad but very comforting.
I went back to my signature color palette on this one, meaning all the colors and a few more. Along with the comfort of the comfort zone, I also experienced the joy of painting light, which I don't do often enough. Yggdrasil, the World Tree, Odin's Steed, the Tree of Life
beautiful!

Bag of runes I found in a free library the other day
Replying to the tag asking what they are: those look like the elder futhark (top) and Western astrological / planetary symbols (bottom).
Simple, Daily Practice
While I haven't been able to conduct many "formal" rituals lately, something I've tried to do is incorporate a brief prayer into my morning routine. I'll take a quiet moment where I can clear my mind and focus on the gods, close my eyes and say:
May the gods guide me May my deeds free me May my oaths keep me May my ancestors aid me May the gods' blessings be with me
If I have more time/energy, I might offer gratitude towards specific entities or contemplate how I can go about my day in a way that would honor them particularly. But even with that ^ brief prayer, I feel grounded and connected.
Odinn's Sons, Baldur and Hodr by Viviana Goosesummer (me)
Stuff for furniture my partner has requested.
I'm planning on doing my ritual dedication to Sigyn during Yule of 2027 (right after my 30th birthday). I want to have ritual clothes for that. What do you wear for your most sacred ceremonies? Did you make it yourself or buy it?
The only difference in my apparel is which Mjolnir I wear around my neck. I wear a small, silver one every day but for rituals and other important events (such as weddings, funerals, etc.) I wear one hand-carved from wood with a bear incorporated into the design. It was made by a fellow heathen, and it means quite a lot to me.
I think bought or crafted are both acceptable, as long as its imbued with your heart and intent.

land spirits do not have to be dramatic.
sometimes reverence for land starts very simply:
learning the names of local plants. noticing where water gathers. thanking a tree before taking from it. picking up trash. leaving a place better than you found it. sitting quietly long enough to feel the mood of the land.
animism is not always spectacle.
sometimes it is relationship, attention, and care.
Hey friends. Does anyone happen to know what kinda of offerings Tyr likes?
In my experience, Tyr is a god who appreciates offerings in the form of action. Two main examples from my experiences are: getting involved with a political cause, and doing something difficult/courageous that leads towards more justice/truth in your own life.
In terms of physical offerings, I tend to decorate my altar with browns deep reds when I honor Tyr. I've never known him to be picky about what food or drink he's offered as long as the effort is there. I typically set out some coarse salt, a hearty bread, some clean water, and a brown or red candle.
