Been needing to know what are the current positions about since I'm worried over some of ideas commonly accepted here doing in a conference like this involved with horrible ideas, along with a billionaire featured in one of the panels.

Here’s a nice picture of a sunrise. I keep calling it a sunset, but it kinda is that for raccoons. I’m hoping that cheers you up a bit. The unfortunate thing I’ve come to terms with is that the United States is ensnared in a literal death cult. Perhaps it always was. Hard to say.

The people such as Peter Thiel aren’t looking toward transhumanism for any just purpose. All they want is a neat looking Nazi death march into oblivion.

I don’t even touch on gene editing as frankly, that’s beyond my scope of knowledge, but the things they’re after are nothing but a fools errand. Do they want to be big alpha muscular men? Then what? They’ll just burn out all the quicker.

Perhaps, the most cruel irony, is that when these creepy death cultists get older, they’ll probably have hypertension. Being responsible for most of the world’s suffering will do that to ya. The doctors will prescribe them spironolactone. That’s the same drug I had to take for a while to lower my testosterone levels as a trans woman.

Anecdotes aside, I think what sets us apart from these types of death cultists is that we’re not looking to be inherently better. I don’t want to be some übermensch. I’m just a cyborg raccoon girl from Portland that fucks radiation sometimes. But everyone else in this community is free to be whoever they want to be. We’re all just surviving out here. Remember, almost every behavior is adaptive.

I’ve been hanging out with my boyfriend up here pondering the meaning of everything. None of us, human or otherwise were designed to live in this current environment; yet here we are. Let’s make the best of it.

Two limits! You can have a maximum of 4,096,000 characters in 1 [one] tumblr post. I would work out how many combinations this is, but 26^6,000 is already considered to be "Infinity" by most calculators, and a program I wrote threw an error code.

26^95,000 is already over 134,000 characters long - which would take 33 different text blocks to convey via tumblr. Whenever somebody says we're running out of posts, don't forget that tumblr is needlessly designed for MASSIVE amounts of information [no matter how detrimental it may be for mobile phones].

Though I'm not certain if that character count includes spaces, unfortunately, as I got that figure by googling "how many letters are in lord of the rings" and came upon a TikTok that counted the number of letter characters in LotR in order to figure out how many Spaghettios cans would be needed to re-write the entire thing, if one were to cut and paste each individual letter from the cans blackmail-letter style.

For those curious, the numbers are 2,261,081 letters in LotR, which calculates out to 8,795 cans of Spaghettios needed, which would cost about $12,225.

So, those are the theoretical limits, yeah. But in practice, the editor is not even close to be optimized to handle these kinds of huge posts: there is a point, far far away from the size of the lord of the rings, that your browser would just crash.

So if you are planning to post long fanfiction, or anything, you better work on something that's optimized for long form (locally, or some alternative to Google docs) and then post in chunks.

which makes sense, gray whales are slow enough to get caught in the first place and hardy enough to not immediately stress themselves to death over being poked and put in a tank (as long as hundreds of pounds of delicious shellfish are on offer, anyway)

none of them were ever kept very long, they were rehabilitated to a healthy weight and then released. (healthy weight for a juvenile gray whale is almost 20,000 lbs. BIG baby)
