I wanted to post thoughts today, but felt so much more comfort coming here instead of Twitter. hmm... I haven't actually used micro-blogging platforms in a LONG time, but decided to resurface here today.

There must be something about Tumblr :) A calming quiet comfort to it. So thanks to the folks on here! I can't remember how to use this exactly or if you can "comment" on posts lol, but might start posting my thoughts on here again.

Recently, I've been thinking about the beautiful human beings in my life and how -- even if I were to tell them I'm a terrible person, that they'd shoot back and tell me that is untrue, shedding light on my life that was far more beautiful that I could imagine to myself.

I’ll admit. 2020...and 2021 were pretty sh*tty years. Asterisks included, yes.

While my every day self would try to find every ounce of optimism about it, I’ll just say it here. It was shit. In SO MANY WAYS. For EVERY ONE. (Don’t kid yourself.)

I don’t know what it is though. But I have a good feeling about 2022. A REALLY GOOD feeling. And even if that means the housing market might burst soon. Or food prices are going to go up. 

So I have 2020 and 2021 to thank for these awesome sentiments and feelings I have about 2022. And I apologize for swearing earlier. 

It’s because of 2020 and 2021 that I got to build myself, sit with myself, sit with my feelings, and begin doing some things about it. I had friends who appeared in my life (whether old or new) and they just showed up. With tender loving arms WIDEEE open. That’s magic. There’s magic. And fuck, that’s beautiful.

Well, I said the “f-word”. Good job! And kicked off 2022 with it :D Perhaps I’ll say that’s how I know 2022 is GOING TO BE FUCKING AWESOME.
