I feel like I should add, covid is giving us an excuse to stay away during the holidays. But, your boundaries are your boundaries, and your self-protection is your self-protection. If you don’t want to see people, or are not comfortable around them, you’re your own person. Your word - and not a global pandemic - is enough.

So with the holidays coming this feels relevant again. Remember, covid anxieties, vaccinated or not, and other pandemic-related things aside, you do not need a global pandemic to justify having boundaries and wanting to see people or visit home. Covid makes justifications and excuses easier (sometimes) but it’s your comfort that is the most important regardless.
