It's almost like biology matters in medical settings 🤔 and while yeah the doctors/nurses should be doing a full reading of your charts, it doesn't help that you're actively trying to deceive them and everyone by pretending to be the other sex.

This also has to do with language. If the chart says "male" or has a male sex marker, when you ask for bathroom assistance, the nurse is going to bring you the male bathroom assistance tools. Hospitals are overwhelmed right now, nurses are overwhelmed. This woman made their job harder and is now shaming them for getting the supplies for the sex marker she changed.

Being a trans woman means you arent allowed access to womanhood or the supposed good/positive masculinity often claimed by trans masc folks. This idealized and positive masculinity is one that is supposedly above all negative traits of masculinity and the patriarchy in society that influences it. Trans fems are conversely allowed only access to the negative aspects of masculinity as inherited from patriarchy. We are referred to as being male socialized whenever we do something negative. We are overshadowed in discussions about womanhood and our claims to it are seen as dubious at worst and partial at best. Trans fems are allowed neither womanhood or the idealized manhood that trans mascs are. Instead we are seen as men in disguise waiting to enact our underlying patriarchal socialization. While trans mascs are seen as forging a new masculinity/manhood. One that is both divorced from the patriarchal expressions of masculinity in our society and one that is inherently linked to an experience of "womanhood" and its associated oppressions.

They could just respect women's boundaries and accept that some things are not for them, but clearly that is too much to ask

My lived experience is that I am a woman because I was born female, and it has affected the way people have treated me from the moment I was born. The lived experience of 3.5 billion women is that they are women because they were born female. To try and demand that we deny this reality, our own lived reality, because it doesn’t validate the feelings of a small handful of males who have decided (in the absence of any evidence) that the way they feel must be the way women feel, and therefore they are women, and therefore “woman” is a feeling independent of the body? To demand that 3.5 billion women pretend their bodies have nothing to do with their experience of womanhood because it doesn’t include this tiny minority? That’s gotta be Peak Mansplaining. They are literally mansplaining womanhood to women, projecting their own beliefs about womanhood (warped by their own perceptions and experiences as the oppressor class) onto themselves and onto every woman on earth. How has anyone, especially any woman, been convinced to go along with this?
