Kim Shasby Jones is correct - we need to stop giving politicians and other heads of organizations the benefit of the doubt by calling them 'stupid' or 'out of touch' whenever they vouch for TRA bullshit. They know exactly what they're doing, and they're relishing in it.
They are not stupid people, they are bad people. And when we call them the former, we are obfuscating the latter.

I am once again begging you to get your hands on physical media and/or save your fave stuff OFFLINE.
And support your local library. Go to library board meetings. Speak against book banning. Join a Friends of the Library group.
LMFAOOO op & everyone in their replies resorting to insults because they have absolutely no counter for this is hilarious
The "these two things are not related" at the end absolutely elevates this to god tier
Intersex people, despite our abnormal chromosomes and/or sexual development, are still male or female. Not a third sex, not somehow neither sex, not a mix. Male or female.
Yes, even intersex people with ambiguous genitalia. Having ambiguous genitalia does not make someone less male or less female or somehow a mix of the two. That would be like saying any man with a smaller-than-average penis is less of a man, or a woman with a larger-than-average clitoris is less of a woman.
Sex is not a spectrum, and our abnormal chromosomes and/or sexual development do not make human sex a spectrum.
Tfw society “progresses” so much it casts intersex people into an alienating special third group, be happy about this or you’re a fascist
how would you decide whether they were male or female? if you have abnormal chromosomes & ambiguous genitalia.
bc ambiguous genitals are easy to classify and all the abnormal chromosomes are diagnosed conditions related to the male or female sex
you’d never find a woman with xxy chromosomes and doctors can tell the difference between a big clit and a micropenis bc they’re different in structure and function
we’re not a different sex group you’re just uneducated
tras: learn advanced biology
advanced biology: classifies the sex of intersex individuals as either female or male
Stop using people with intersex conditions as an excuse to deny science, thanks!
What would you define as "supporting trans ideology"? because simply the act of having friends who are trans and respecting whatever name or pronoun they wanna be called is not the same as supporting the cotten ceiling
I would define it as actively supporting the idea that sex and sexuality can change via transition.
Simply having a friend that identifies as trans and respecting their name, and even using the pronouns they want used is harmless. Especially the name…I really don’t see any issue with calling somebody by the name they prefer. There’s so many reasons somebody might not want to go by their birth name: abusive parents, named after a family member they don’t like or was abusive, simply doesn’t like the sound of it, goes by their middle name instead, etc. It’s not that big of a deal. I understand it’s frustrating when some 50 year old man wants to be called Daisy because it affirms his belief that he can be a woman…but also it’s just a name. And names are just a collection of sounds, they shouldn’t be gendered in the first place.
But when you start actively affirming the idea that your male friend is actually a “trans lesbian”? Or that your female friend is actually a “trans gay man”? You’re now supporting the idea that sexuality can change with a simple declaration of “I’m trans!”, and you’re encouraging heterosexuals to invade gay spaces. Which leads to the cotton ceiling and boxer ceiling rhetoric, as both are born from that initial thought of “I’m gay, so why aren’t other gays attracted to me? It must be because they’re transphobic!”. If these entitled hets weren’t showered in endless validation and affirmation of “yes of course you’re soooo valid trans lesbians are lesbians and trans gay men are gay men and anyone who disagrees is evil”, I don’t think they would have been emboldened enough to push this shit on homosexuals.
I assume this anon is in good faith…but I want to gently say that I’m really tired of having to explain this. Respectfully, use your brain. Of course simply being respectful to people who identify as trans isn’t the same as supporting their misogynistic and homophobic ideology. Same way that being respectful to religious people isn’t the same as supporting their misogynistic and homophobic ideology.
It’s the enabling that’s the problem. The “yes, of course you’re a woman!” To misogynistic men. “Yes, of course you’re gay!” To heterosexuals with a fetish for gay people. The more they’re enabled, the more bold they get with this new form of power over groups they already oppress (women and homosexuals).
It's also important to remember that homosexual people are a legitimate minority. There are definitely more heterosexual males with a lesbian fetish than there are actual lesbians in the world - and it becomes a very dangerous situation for lesbians when you put male feelings above the reality of female homosexuality.
It didn't used to be the case that there were more heterosexual women with a fetish for gay men than there are gay men in existence, but it is very quickly heading in that direction with all this gay hockey shit, as well as all the feeble minded girls watching gay anime and allowing themselves be drawn into the fantasy of becoming 'soft boi twinks' or whatever.

I got these back to back on my facebook feed. Now, I haven't read the Atlantic article, and also it was written in 2020 and not as a response to this couple, but clearly the Atlantic is reposting it with an incendiary pull line to capitalize on this couple's story.
And the pull line is ridiculous on its own, regardless of what context I'm missing from the article. Down syndrome is not an inherited trait like red hair or brown eyes. It's chromosomal abnormality. Talking about it like there's some kind of movement trying to "wipe out" a group of people is so intellectually dishonest. Down syndrome is not an ethnic group, and one woman aborting is not a call to murder all living people with Down syndrome.
It's just so woman hating. Why shouldn't a family decide what's best for the health of their family and child? I don't know of this couple, even if they are cringe influencers, I think it's so brave to share their story and it's helpful to women and girls to hear it. Despite the hate that is being directed at this couple, I hope they realize they are helping normalize this conversation and this choice.
To be fair enough, I decided to read the article, and I got to the pull line. The context is bizarre!
So, in Western countries people with Down syndrome have the best resources available than ever before, but it's the also the "worst time" because many people are simply not being born? Huh? They're just not being born, not experience worse things than before. People are trying to "eliminate" Down syndrome because of the individual choice to abort, but not, uh, the collective choice to give those who are born with it the best possible life they can? Life expectancy going up does not change the face that you might have to bury your child before they're 40 or 30 or 20. School is not necessarily affordable, and school existing does not mean your child will be capable of it. A child in and out of the hospital getting heart stints is not the preferable way to live for a child or a parent. Can both choices not be from a place of love?
This argument makes no sense unless every Down syndrome child must be born. And so then why shouldn't every child be born? There's just no way around it, if you argue this way, you must ultimately think there is no reason "good enough" for abortion.
Living, breathing people need resources. Abortion does not take away from that. If anything, it helps.
and who, I suppose, are not the ordinary people, that presumably had the power before? this is a rhetorical trick, you see. ordinary people aren't to be trusted. ordinary people do not deserve power. there are extraordinary people who can be trusted. ordinary people make decisions based on emotion, fear, from a lack of education. You're expected to nod your head like "of course. not me but I know the people you're talking about. the ones we all know who can't be trusted." Perhaps ordinary people do get some say on what life is "worth" bringing into the world. Perhaps the most ordinary person in the world, a woman, is actually precisely the most capable person to know the value of human life, and the cost of pregnancy and birth.
Also moral pioneers my ass, ancient people would abandon babies they couldn't take care of when they were without options.
Looking into Sarah Zhang, she doesn't seem particularly conservative. And I don't have time to finish this article now, but I do think this just show cases how you can have misogynistic views unchecked, even as a woman, even as a woman of science. She is begging a misogynist question, and then must write around it.
I decided not to have kids after working with kids. I worked with several who had severe autism, and I concluded that I'd never be able to handle being the mother of a child like that, so decided the best option was to not risk it at all.
It is no one's place to judge a mother or couple who decide that they don't want to raise a child that has been revealed to be severely disabled in the womb. Every woman and couple knows their own life, knows their own limit, and is capable of making their own information choices on this matter.
What? Do we want to have to open asylums again, because of the amount of women birthing disabled children they can't take care of themselves? What kind of life is that to wish upon a child? And for what? No, really; for what reason? To what end? So that virtuous blowhards can feel good about living in a world full of... diversity of suffering?
Wholeheartedly agree with that last tweet - I absolutely loathe the women who go along with and push trans ideology, probably more so than the men in dresses, actually.
We all know the motives driving the males, as disgusting as they are, but the motives driving the women are so utterly pathetic that I can't understand or accept them. They'll throw other women - the most vulnerable women! - under the bus, and for what? I fucking hate them. It's like the difference between hating an enemy vs hating a traitor - the latter is way more powerful, personal, and painful.
Wow it must be soo hard to have to put up with free fucking breast implants instead of some other less common surgery to supplement your larp. He is so oppressed 😢
It’s actually like just as bad or maybe worse than women dying because they are prohibited by the state from receiving actually lifesaving procedures because you see if he doesn’t get a boob job there’s a chance he will think about killing himself, which is of course cruel and unusual punishment.
Genuinely kinda hoping a lot of men get these tho - it'd be like torture in and of itself.
i wanted to reflect on me 2018 and me 2024 as well (@punkitt-is-here did this and i love the way she talks abt transness shes so cool)
I wish you guys could see the gal on the right as a woman, too--because "woman" is just like the word "human." It's just what you are, not a set of regressive stereotypes, not makeup or clothing, not gender roles.
You don't have to stop being a woman to stop performing femininity (in fact, you can't really stop being one--not on a chromosomal level, not on the level of bone structure, nor even come close to true average male hormone levels without becoming severely sick, and not on a genital level. Aesthetic changes to the flesh under a surgical knife may ease dysphoria in some, but are not the same as truly replacing female genitalia with male genitalia.)
It reinforces that woman=femininity when your abandonment of femininity is coupled with your attempted abandonment of womanhood.
I'd be miserable if I thought I had to wear makeup and dress uncomfortably forever, too, which is why I don't. And yet, "woman," to me, is not lipstick and subservience--it's just the creature that I am, the animal, more ancient than gender, as natural as gazelles and dirt and trees.
All of this is just the flip side of wearing makeup and uncomfortable outfits. Y'all wore makeup and uncomfortable outfits because you were too insecure not to and then when that became intolerable you tried to become men because you were too insecure to be a woman who shows her bare face like I've been doing all my life, and shows her body hair and wears the hair on her head short like I've been doing for years. The opposite of wearing makeup isn't injecting yourself with hormones; it's weaning yourself off of the belief that a bare female face and visible female body hair are atrocities committed against the eyes of the public.
Suffragates didn't ruin the lives of other people though? I think they'd be horrified and ashamed of posts like these
Not letting men erode women’s sex based rights = ruining their lives apparently
ETA: Men during that era absolutely did think the suffragettes were ruining their lives btw
the men who made the lefthand comic did believe suffragettes were ruining their lives.
Men have always believed that their lives would be ruined by women having rights btw. Literally every single generation of feminists has had to deal with ridiculous histrionics from men who think that their rights are being infringed on bc they have less and less control over women. The anti-suffragette propaganda was all fear-mongering bullshit about how men would become oppressed (i.e., treated the same way they treated their wives) if women were allowed to vote.
Those men felt unfairly trodden upon for the same reasons TIMs do now: because feminists are threatening to take away some of the male privileges over women that they never shoulda had in the first place. Do y'all think that the men back then thought of themselves as evil misogynists? No, they thought that their natural rights were being taken away from them by the mean, ugly witches spinsters shrews bitches feminazis terfs.
The message in both images is exactly the same: "Women I disagree with shouldn't be allowed to speak"
Same. Shit. Different. Century.
"Suffragettes didn't ruin the lives of other people though?" they literally bombed people for the cause lol
