I have seen multiple African women get harassed by tras over the years. It is ironic because tras love to claim biological sex was a white man invention white men forced upon women of colour. I admit i might be an old man yelling at a cloud, but I don't find it impressive at all. The chronically online generation that has completely absorbed "words are as bad or even worse than violence" -mentality has been pretty easily convinced by a social media platform that normal words should be taboo.

This is a ground-breaking study seemingly shattering the argument that transition supposedly cures young people's mental health issues. The response? Not a single media in my country has made a story about this. Also trans activists reported the doctors involved to the police.
Update to this: there was a Pride march last weekend, so naturally, tras had to compare the lead doctor of this research (a woman, of course) to a rapist man (Epstein). Other signs included a huge banderol naming each doctor and telling them to go fuck themselves and a sign that says "gatekeeping" doctors should be burned. "No need to know why" prevails.

Porn is banned in the majority of Muslim countries as well, and women are treated worse than in South Korea. I doubt anyone claims that without porn misogyny would not exist (misogyny is a lot older than porn after all). However, porn is both a symptom and a tool that strengthens misogyny. I do not even have such big anti-porn stances. I think sex depicted in porn can be gentle, loving, and consensual (funnily, that type of porn is seen as lesser or "soft" and exclusively marketed for women). However, most porn marketed for men normalises sexual violence, like sex acts that are painful, dangerous, or humiliating to the receiver (women), and fetishes vulnerable women like teenage girls. When something is normalised, men start to expect it from women, and women start to feel the pressure to comply. Porn is not banned anywhere because it harms women, but because it is viewed as sexually immoral. It is the same when people think it is some sort of gotcha to say that radfems are conservative prudes for being anti-porn because conservative prudes are also anti-porn. But different people can dislike the same things for different reasons. I personally believe that if there was a way to stop men from beating their meat to screaming, suffering women, it would not erase other types of misogyny from the society, but it would benefit women's sexual rights. However, I do not see it happening without control like strong identification, and that would cause all kinds of other problems. It's better to just bring back good old shame and make watching porn embarrassing and weird - not this coddling porn-brained culture we are currently living.

the erasure of the rape element in mythological retellings is so heinous it borders on misogyny
it’s the idea that because rape as an act is misogyny, that talking about rape or including it in stories is also misogyny. as if acknowledging that women were denied agency and dignity somehow further denies us agency and dignity. when really, acknowledging the ways women were/are denied agency and dignity affirms that we are entitled to these things. a feminist story isn’t just a story in which no bad things happen to women. bad things do happen to women. pretending they don’t, and especially trying to superimpose that conviction onto the past, just because it isn’t as fun to dwell on, is not a feminist position.

You aren't banned from the Olympics, you just have to compete in the proper league and meet the standard every other athlete must adhere to. Males in the men's league, females in the women's. No performance enhancing drugs or products (no doping, no steroids).
If you consider having to play by the same rules as everybody else "barred from the Olympics" then you're really just admitting you want to cheat.
