how do people not see "changing your sex requires acceptance by transphobes to Really Count" as the most transphobic statement you could possibly conjure. might i remind you that most transphobes do not believe nonbinary people to be a thing, to name one?? do you just believe they aren't "socially" (read: "in a way that matters") nonbinary?????? do the social consequences of stating you are nonbinary, of medically transitioning if you do so, just disappear because a transphobe said "nuh-uh"?

Our local childrens museum is doing a big renovation and auctioning off stuff from their warehouse I'm trying and failing to convince myself we don't need a giant coleman lamp shaped like a lighthouse we don't need whimsical bumper cars

Growing up, older folks would always get confused when I expressed familiarity with media from their childhoods and would act incredulous when I attempted to explain the concept of reruns. They'd be like "How do you, a child of this fallen era, know of Looney Tunes" and I'd be like "Because it has never not been playing on television" and this would seem to be brand new information to them

Like I would go about wearing my Led Zeppelin t-shirt and all these old dudes would be like "Surely this ignorant youth must be professing a false knowledge of such ancient secrets" but like if u turn on the radio in 1996 or 2006 or 2026, you know what's always gonna be on the damn radio?
