bro wait queen deltarune is kind of wire mother and tenna is kinda cloth mother coded. queen can provide everything for noelle to hay she could possibly want except genuine warmth and comfort and tenna can give kris comfort and nostalgia by the truckload but doesn’t ever give them anything that they need, like a sympathetic ear or help with what’s bothering them. likewise, cyber city sells anything you could possibly need but nothing you want, and tv world is built on the memories you wish you could go back to but it’s built in a wasteland that can barely sustain life

I cannot fathom the devs not intending this to be a horror game in the slightest because nothing is scarier in being the darkest pits of some unknown and unfathomable place while some fucked up nightmare creature making the worst noises you've ever heard in your life patrol just outside of where you are. While I understand the reason why the game is like this and respect its insistence on non-violence that pursues even into Subnautica 2, god all I want to do is to just tear out the teeth of these stalkers after I kill them. That's all I want. It's like killing a boar in an RPG and getting its pelt. I just wanna harvest the corpse. It feels tiring having to Loony Tunes my way through dancing around these beasts and shoving metal into their face so they try to munch on that rather than my torso. It's the instance of the game's vision and themes clashing with the player's impatience and all. You know how it is
