A tasty and nutritious paleo treat are these almond butter banana cookies. They are naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup and ripe bananas, and they are made with basic ingredients that are free of gluten. They have a soft, chewy texture from the almond flour, and a touch of cinnamon gives them some warmth and flavor. For an added treat, you can also splurge on dark chocolate chips!
Ingredients: 1 cup almond butter. 2 ripe bananas, mashed. 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 2 cups almond flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips optional.
Instructions: Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Almond butter, mashed bananas, honey, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt should all be combined in a mixing bowl. Blend until thoroughly blended. Stir the wet mixture with the almond flour and baking soda until a dough for cookies forms. Stir in the dark chocolate chips, if using. Drop cookie dough onto the baking sheet that has been prepared, spacing them apart with a spoon. Gently press down on each cookie with a fork to make a crosshatch on top. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, in a preheated oven. Take the cookies out of the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool down completely. Savor your delectable Almond Butter Banana Cookies, which are paleo!
