The fading is noticeable on multiple canvases, i generally don't thin acrylic but the only thing I used for thinning throughout the class was liquitex acrylic gloss medium and I didn't use any thinners on the pixel grid assignment.

pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.

People always assume in a perfect galaxy Luke would either gravitate towards Anakin growing up or maybe be a mama's boy to Padmé. Wrong. Luke would be crazy about Obi-Wan. I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s okay for writing to be a HOBBY that you do because you enjoy, and that you don’t want to do when you’re not enjoying it. No one’s up in the business of knitters telling them they have to be willing to SUFFER and SWEAT or they’ll NEVER FINISH THAT SWEATER and they can’t expect good things to come to them. I don’t know why our current culture around writing is so intense, but I’m here to support your casual, relaxing writing habit. If people can glue pompoms together or knit a scarf or watch hours of streaming shows with their spare time there’s absolutely no reason writers can’t waste time writing just for pleasure, without any expectation that they’re going to Achieve something Amazing and Important or make a bunch of money or whatever.

I stand corrected: According to a great many who have piped up in the comments, apparently people ARE up in the business of knitters. What the hell. Get out of the business of knitters, people. May we all enjoy our hobbies without pressure to professionalize.

So can we be so fucking serious about the literacy crisis yet or are y’all still pretending that it’s just exaggeration that there’s a massive systemic issue where parents and educators have catastrophically failed a generation by passing them through school when they literally can’t do basic reading and math.

Don’t get blackpilled! Mississippi used to rank second lowest in the country in their student literacy, but after changing their policy in education back to phonics they jumped all the way up to the top ten. This is a problem with a solution but it takes work and time.

i do think that with the name & the branding n how it would help to explain random weirdness, huntr/x leans hard into the Branding of being "demon hunters". so the music videos are a toss up between being deeply personal (see golden) versus weirdass demon hunting stuff n they shoot a lot of their videos in the forest where rumi runs in golden & the stunt people are like. its the weirdest coolest job ever. we explained this bow & arrow stunt to rumi once & she nodded, picked up the bow & shot the target from 70ft. & they have ZERO fear jumping off things like zoey flung herself off a ledge onto the crash pads & giggled the whole time. the insurance guys cant come to set ever tehy get so sweaty & nervous & they have to sit down & crunch numbers to calm down

they also obviously do a lot of city scenes for their demon hunting & im just imagining them decked out in "armour" like their golden era pauldrons n stuff & pausing for a break & theres a small crowd of fans watching from behind these balustrades to keep them back while they're filming in a gross alley & workaholic rumi always wanders over when theyre on a break or doing a reset & greets people & she's always sooo nice & signs a lot of stuff & is so apologetic when they only have a few minutes or so to talk between takes. but there are fans who come back when its a multiday shoot & rumi remembers their names once she sees them a second time & once she remembered their name at a fan signing like Months later & the fan fully burst into tears theyre like YOU REMEMBER ME? & rumis like OH NO IM SO SORRY PLEASE DONT CRY OF COURSE I REMEMBER YOU, YOU BROUGHT ME THAT FIGURINE YOU MADE RIGHT?? n the fanis like. sniffling theyre like YEAH i designed n 3d printed it, it has your braid! & rumis like I LOVED IT!! its on my shelf at home, see? & quickly finds a photo of it on her shelf & the fan starts crying again

ok they have this big push before one of their video releases where they’re like we had so much fun making this video & a huge shout out to our stunt doubles who are AMAZINGGGG & they do a series of little behidn the scenes videos of huntr/x versus stunties games like silly ones like three legged races & exercise ones like who can do the most push ups in 30 seconds & then they get REALLY competitive about keep the balloon off the floor & mira watches rumi & zoey get way too into it & she’s like. for the good of the honmoon & our secrets I must end this. & pops the balloon. rumi screams before she knows what she’s doing she’s like YOU KILLED HER. zoey starts crying. mira looks at the camera person like. they were going to break bones soon. Here's an idea about why kids are so anxious and depressed all the time...the environments kids are in most of the time are very stressful and don't fulfill their needs for play, rest, proper variety of foods, positive social opportunities, and freedom from fear pain punishment etc
