I looked it up, they beat us by nearly two kilos of tea per capita, that’s honestly insane. We need to do better, drink more tea, much more tea. We don’t have enough of a lead on the UK and we should be winning. I will single-handedly drag the tea consumption per capita up if I must.

It's a lot harder to demonize queer people when the person helping you pass calculus is a trans woman, or your lab partner talks about his boyfriend exactly the same way you talk about yours. It's a lot harder to believe that immigrants are out to get you when your Hindu roommate cheerfully shares a care package of homemade goodies from home, or Malia down the hall covers your lunch because you forgot to bring your wallet to study group. You start rethinking some assumptions when the 6 foot spike-encrusted goth who sits behind you in lecture hall shows everyone photos of his baby niece dressed like a puppy for Halloween with all the pride of a new parent, and you remember when your flannel and camo-wearing uncle did the same thing at work last year with photos of your little sister.

open vlc, go to media > open network stream

paste your url in the box and PRESS PLAY!

wait for the video to open then go to tools > codec information

copy the entire file location (click the box, then ctrl-a to select all, then ctrl-c to copy)

paste into your browser of choice (i use firefox)

right click video and press "save video as", choose your file format if you want

DONE! NO VIRUSES OR SKETCHY STUFF!

the quality might be a little crummy but if you don't mind that, then shabam! video on your computer! then you can email it to yourself and have it on your phone too if you want! if you need a guide with pictures wikihow has you covered my friends

Navigate to C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist (or whatever equivalent there is on Mac; if you have a Mac just fish around in the program files you're bound to find it somewhere)

Open youtube.luac with a text editor like Notepad

Delete whatever's in there and replace it with ALL of the stuff with the github file.

Save the file, restart VLC, and then it should work.

Where it ended up

Because the term I used for these is "canaries"

the very first canary is when I'm trying to use websites and i get

errors but only at random, so it doesnt affect my browsing ability as a whole.

they alert me that something's about to go Wrong with my operating system

after that, the next canary is the inability to shut off certain programs without them erroring out, oh say, applications like task manager

after that, the next canary is being unable to open files rather than just being unable to close them:

^here, I was simply trying to open a jpg image.

the next canary is the PC itself not being able to shut down through normal shutdown means, and requiring force shutdown nearly every time by holding the button

the final canary, and the one that told me 'yeah no, deal with this NOW.' was when my USB ports stopped working. like. I'd put in a USB or an external drive and the PC would read NOTHING showing up. They worked on one final bootup so I was able to get my grubby lil pizza hands on all my files before hauling the whole tower into geeksquad like some sort of jalopy car

2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup sugar

1 tsp nutmeg
