A website called PodcastAdBlock promises to have podcasts without ads, for a subscription. In truth, they are using AI to scrape the podcast and practically resell it. That is not only highly questionable legally, but it's seriously harming the industry.

AI infiltrates every creative space imaginable, and of course it is not stopping for podcasts. But this one is a horrible cash-grab that is actively harming the podcasts that you love.

Even more nefarious: if you go to the website and want to look up if a podcast is on the website, it actually is a prompt for the AI to scrape it.
