But there's one massive issue. Hospitals generally cannot feed us. So we need to bring our own food which is going to be incredibly expensive (breakdown below the cut) and on top of that, weve been prescribed medication that insurance wont cover, so we need $85 for that.

Gilbert Baker added a 9th stripe shortly before his death, with the new stripe representing diversity. He added this stripe in reaction to the 2016 US election. It’s unfortunately not as well known as the 8 and 6 striped versions.

In the past, a week in this hospital has cost us $300 for both of us to get food we can actually prepare and eat in a hospital room. We are looking at some insane upcoming costs, even if our insurance covers everything directly related to the surgery, because it absolutely won't cover the food costs.

oh, and I'm going through a cancer scare, waiting on a biopsy. Just totally separate from all this, so yknow. Sort of bracing for things to get worse.

Thousands of Albanians protested Tuesday against a coastal tourism complex allegedly linked to US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. Chanting "Cancel the project" and holding banners reading "Albania is not for sale" and "Ivanka, go home" -- a reference to Kushner's wife -- the protesters demanded the government block the resort project, which has raised concerns over environmental damage and corruption. The project includes the construction of hotel complexes on the uninhabited island of Sazan and in the protected coastal area of Vjosa-Narta, located in the southern community of Zvernec. On Tuesday, the special prosecutor's office to combat corruption and organized crime (SPAK) said it had opened an investigation into the funds used for acquiring the land titles and their sale to investors. The demonstration in the capital Tirana followed an initial gathering in Zvernec on Saturday, where dozens of people, including environmental activists, protested over the installation of barbed wire blocking access to the beach.
