anyway, archive of our own is an archive, not a social media app. let's not spam or abuse tags to gain "likes and views" / "kudos and hits". let's not treat it like tiktok

Tags are for telling people what to expect in your story. If you add a bunch of tags that aren't in your story you'll probably get hits on that particular story. But you're not likely to get kudos on it because your readers are going to be pissed at you. And they're likely to remember and not read anymore of your work assuming they don't just block you.
