hm i guess the way i would sum up my foundation (tv) thoughts is this: the show is at it's strongest when the plot is focused on court/political intrigue. like the empire storyline is obvs the strongest part of the show, but i have also enjoyed the more grounded/political parts of the foundation storyline. and then when they start leaning into the psychic powers thing the foundation storyline loses its hold on me lol. genuinely it feels like the show was being written by two separate people sometimes

i reaaaaally wish i liked the foundation parts of foundation more than i do. like i'm trying so hard but i just dgaf. the empire storyline is just infinitely more well done & interesting.

obviously as in all things there is nuance. but i do unironically think that a notable increase in posting on social media should count towards the "More talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking" criterion for mania. like, it's an observable phenomena that people experiencing mania often post on social media/talk online more and differently than they do outside of mood episodes. & i would argue that the mechanisms at work that make you more talkative/feel pressure to keep talking are functionally the same as the one ones that make you post more. & whether it's externalized to people in my external life talking via making noises with my vocal chords out loud, or externalized to people online via text, it's still the same symptom. the only difference is the medium i am using to speak
