I had a little too much fun with this

They go on runs to protect the child if they feel even the slightest threatened no matter where. If the child needs them to go on vacation with them, they do. Bikers come from across the nation to watch over and take shifts for these kids. And the best part is once you’re adopted into this family as a BACA kid, you’re always one. Even when you’re 40 and the perp gets released from jail, they’ll come meet with you and find your best options for avoiding the person and maintaining the life you’ve built for yourself. Once a BACA child, always a BACA child. In Florida, there’s 100% rate for identifying the perp based on the child’s testimony. Why? Because BACA stands with the child and supports the child so they feel comfortable enough to point out their attacker.

They’re in Canada as well and probably other countries. I met and talked with a native guy who runs the place near me. His name is Shaman. I got in, and I’m considered a BACA child now. Despite being 17, turning 18 when I talked to them. They spent time with me when my abuser was over, they gave me therapy resources. They give you something called a ‘level 1′ where they go to your house with as many bikers as they can, i shit you not a solid 20-40 bikers came from even out of province, and met me. I got to choose my biker name and I got a vest with patches on it and my name on it. They all hugged a Teddybear before giving it to me, and told me if I ever felt the BACA bear was running out of love, to give them a call and they’d refill it for me, and then I got a ride on one of their bikes. Just a day or so ago I went to an annual party with them and they we ate food one of them cooked and had a lot of laughs. 

I’ve never felt as loved as I did being a part of the BACA family. They also gave me dog tags with the names, and phone numbers of my 2 workers.  So I can call them whenever I feel scared. 

BACA is an absolutely wonderful group that will do everything in it’s power to help any child whos been abused. 

And it doesn’t end when you’re 18 either. As long as you get in contact/get your level 1 before you’re 18? you’re ALWAYS a BACA kid. I’m 18 now and they still invite me to parties, ask me if I’m okay, and are there for me. They’re still trying to find me resources for therapy. 

BACA has changed my fucking life.

While I am working with a small sample size of the few chapters that have recently come out, from what I’ve seen it makes me worried that the artist aren’t going to continue this trend. The first outfit she’s seen in is the most telling as it has the generic over complicated and impractical design that so many female characters are put into, especially ones that are “meant to break the mold of femininity” but never actually do. They’ve also been drawing her with like extreme baby face with the manhwa’s adaptation of her character following along in kind of watering down her emotional response to be more childish. I really hope I wrong about this but im not holding out hope for this new season to not butcher yerim

oh yes!! yes!!! you're so so absolutely right. there weren't much of her outfits in the novel but her look was described as androgynous and refreshing and cute, so the manhwa was cool for drawing a bunch of cute sporty clothes for her that weren't too girly or too boyish but something in between

as for the first outfit in the second season, I can't say much about it, but for me this outfit fits her style and is also quite practical without any loose pieces of clothing that can get stuck in a dungeon. my only problem with that outfit is.. why is there a boob window NOOOO and also that whole top part with the hood is just kinda unnecessary and weird (also evelyn's outfit later is basically the same it pains me so much it just doesn't suit her why.)

but her second outfit is cute I'd also wear something like that if i could, she's such an icon (don't mind hyh I can't stand even looking at his face)

and the baby face.....

okay it is SEVERE I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how weird it looks, especially in the first chapter. and yes the manhwa does water her down to this cutesy loud teenage girl that, while she is one, has way more to her than that. and the manhwa doesn't only ruin her, everyone is like a caricature of themselves from the novel, so yeah i don't think it will change, it's a manhwa, they don't have time for that give up your hope....

When I signed back on with a place I’ve worked before, I initially committed to working there until the end of the year, but I crunched the numbers and realized I’m not getting enough hours to cover my expenses each month, and that was supposed to change like three weeks ago.

Oh hell yeah, cutie pie. You can go 2 routes:

Write a standard resignation letter. Deliver it in person, and if they ask "why are you leaving?" say something like "the compensation no longer meets my needs." This should prompt them to offer you more money, in which case, go into salary negotiation mode. If they don't offer more money, then you've at least given those cheapskates valuable feedback.

Write a resignation letter that among other things states "I've reviewed my compensation package and determined that it no longer meets my needs. For this reason, I find I must move on from the company."

-there is nothing more expensive than a cheap german car

-do not buy anything with a turbo unless you are willing to spend the money to replace said turbo or maybe if it's super low mileage (i would still be very cautious in this case)

-if it seems too good to be true it probably is

-do not buy anything that has been modded

-if you're looking at something that is popular with tuners it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with what the engine bay looks like when it's stock

-if you've got your eye on a specific model ask around about potential issues. there are forums for pretty much any car you can think of and people there are usually happy to help you out.

-always have a mechanic look at the car before you buy it

-do not buy anything with flood damage. close the tab the moment you see the words "flood damage". i dont care how great the car seems.

-used car dealers have a reputation for a reason. don't believe anything they tell you without documentation

-i hope this has gotten better, but when I was in highschool it was common for women and girls to take a male friend or relative along because sellers were less likely to try and swindle them if there was a man present. this isn't a piece of advice i hear passed around much anymore, but im including it anyway
