i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3

unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it

i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map

i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs

this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.

crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.

We love Mullvad (this is 5 bucks a month and can be paid for anon via either mailed cash or XMR) and Proton VPN (iirc they also do XMR??? but they also have a sale rn).

If you're into self hosting, check out Prowlarr to use as a search engine since some sites are genuinely just ass to use.

If you don't like qBittorrent, there's also Motrix (which is a great general download manager and suggested by Anna's Archive if you don't have a memership with them anyways) and Transmission if you prefer something simpler but doesn't also handle http(s).

No no you're right, and I PERSONALLY don't feel it was queerbaiting AT ALL – which is why I avoided personally using the label because it wasn't, since it was followed through – as it was implied at the end that Aziracrow is the basis of all love everywhere, and they are Star-Crossed to always meet and fall in love for all infinity. Beautiful, I love it, my heart breaks thinking about it. I apologize for not stating that right off piste. I am completely aware of the definition of queerbaiting, as I am a fan of Sherlock BBC LOL.

That said, regardless of the content, I was simply posting asks from Nonnies who all feel a variety of ways and expressing how, at that moment, I could see their point. At the time I replied, I was admittedly still in my anger stage of my initial disappointment with the finale BEFORE I gave the S3 Final Fifteen a full rewatch and read some thoughts from all kinds of reactions and views on it. I am sorry, I should have worded my response better in hindsight, that was my bad. Because, again, I do not think it was queerbaiting.

However.

I believe many of the strong reactions, myself included, are in relation to Aziracrow Prime NOT getting their happy ending after everything they have been through, and THEN feeling like Crowley was out of character to service the ending. As the days since it aired continue on, I personally have come to appreciate the ending for what it is and its implications. I actually really love the Epilogue on its own and is the only part I have watched more than twice. I PERSONALLY don't think Aziracrow Prime HAD to have a kiss (I actually was rooting more for a hug or quiet forehead touching at the very least. I'm very touch-starved Ace that way, LOL). The "kiss" we got, upon reflection, is actually very them (and very Aziraphale), as I didn't catch Crowley kissing Azzie's fingers in return on the first or second watch of the scene (I caught it in GIFS actually, bless the GifMakers). BUT, I don't disregard the feelings of people and they're allowed to feel as such as long as they need.

You are right, they love each other, and they – I've come to realise –in the end know that they love each other. It's just SAD, for me, that the OG couple that we have seen learn to love, grow and share their lives with each other for 12 episodes had to essentially die for it to become textual. There were a lot of plot holes in the finale, and I have always given it a lot of grace because of the condensed runtime but so many things are frustrating and should have been dealt with rather than introducing NEW people and things in the episode that inevitably ended up not mattering. AND the big Macguffin of the way they portrayed the Book of Life that could have made it entirely possible for them to still survive AND still be the basis of all love.

I understand WHY it ended the way it did, I truly, TRULY do. I ADORE the "Aziracrow in every universe across all time" implication, so SO much. I adore that THEIR LOVE was the Big Bang and God letting them find each other always anyway. I love the Star Crossed Lovers idea. I adore the epilogue with Asa and Anthony wholeheartedly, because you can see Aziracrow's souls and mannerisms in them. I personally would have liked an "I love you" spoken and acknowledged, and a hug (after so long of them holding back). Perhaps their departure would have hurt less that way, who knows. Aziracrow Prime was special to me because they went through so much together and still endured, being each other's other half. I suppose they technically did "endure" for all time.

And the more I sit on it, I see that they were going for a "Romeo and Juliet" type ending, Star Crossed lovers and all. It's a story known to be one of the greatest love stories of all time, but it's tragic and sad. With the Epilogue of S3, they basically took the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and made it so they will always find each other again, Time After Time.

A week later, I am a bit more positive towards S3. I don't think I'll watch it in its entirety as often as I rewatch one and 2, but them grabbing each other's hands at the end, and then that Epilogue does get me every time.

ANYWAY, that all said, Nonny, it's not queerbaiting because there is queer love at the end. I, however, don't fault people for disliking what we got because it IS hard to understand why Aziracrow Prime was built up for 12 episodes only to... not happen for more than 2 minutes.

I'm certain that if we had 5+ additional hours like the previous 2 seasons, I think that (if this was indeed the ending NG wrote in the original script for S3) their sacrifice would have been more understandable and wouldn't have felt rushed. And, the script did suffer a lot from the shortened runtime.

I am, all in all, happy we got an end, even if it's not the one I wanted.

And that assumption is useful to transphobes because it means they can uncritically extend properties of the AGAB group to the subset who transitions. E.g. they will say AMAB kids are likely to have behaved like X or experienced Y in their youth, therefore trans women are likely to have behaved like X or experienced Y in their youth. And they can say this without ever checking if it's true about trans women, because if everyone knows it's true of cis boys, they will assume that extension to trans women.

But like, if you took down the details of every 30-year-old trans woman right now, then went back in time 20 years, and studied that group of 10-year-olds, you would find they already had properties that differed from the 10-year-old-AMAB average in 2006. Perhaps they would be a little quieter, perhaps they would have a couple more female friends, perhaps they'd have fewer friends in general, perhaps they would have more anxiety, perhaps they would have more depression. Perhaps none of these and something else, idk.

But, the point is, people don't just decide to transition *at random*, there is a whole history of life experience in each trans girl leading up to that realisation "I am trans" and that decision "I should do something about it", and that common history of all these kids would be reflected in some group average differences from the AGAB cohort even long before that realisation took place.

And this is what makes "male socialisation" rhetoric so frustrating. Because the very fact of having all the life history that led up to your realisation that you were trans, the life history that *caused* that realisation, that very history marks you as someone with an atypical social experience compared to your AGAB average.

Go to Settings > AI controls. There, you can toggle the "master kill switch" on to fully block all the features, which means two things:

you won't see them,

you can't even be asked about them.

The default state is, like before, "available". This means the features are NOT on by default (they never were), but Firefox will let you know about them where they exist (e.g. when you create your first tab group) so that you can choose to opt in.

Please note that Firefox for Android or iOS have never included AI features, so you won't see these settings on your smartphones or tablets.

@balconeko can't reblog it because OP has me blocked (what a surprise, OP is also blocking anybody who disagrees with her on that post), but to answer your question: Despite confident claims to the contrary, T4T didn't "originate as a transfemme term for transfemmes", it never meant exclusively transfem 4 transfem, and it still doesn't. That's primarily a recent claim here on Tumblr, often (but not always) among those people who also go as far as claiming that trans culture as a whole is only transfem.

It's a term that (likely) originated on Craigslist as just what it sounds like: Trans person looking for another trans person (to date / hook up with / etc.), as a simple message board shortcut. If you were looking for something more specific, you would specify either in the description of the ad or by adding letters (Tf4Tf, Tm4Tm, Tf4Tm). Over time, it first turned into a self-descriptor (person who prefers trans 4 trans relationships/encounters, "I'm T4T" like saying "I'm lesbian/gay/bi"), and then into a much broader intracommunity activism term which just means trans people standing in solidarity with trans people.

Here's a first-hand account of someone who actually witnessed the inclusive usage on Craigslist, as well as a link to an article that talks about the overall evolution of the term as summarised above. It's a fairly comprehensive article, here's an unapywalled version btw, and there's not a single mention of it ever having been transfem only. That idea doesn't even arise in the article, which is something you would think would be mentioned if it had any credibility.

It talks about some of the help groups in the latter T4T activism stage of development being transfem focused, but that's those particular groups (as is their good right!), and not all of them. The first person quoted is a trans woman working for an organisation focusing on specifically black trans women. One of the other people they interviewed as a first-hand account of the term's development is a trans man who talks about having first encountered it as, quote, a "romantic relationship between two trans people, or as a descriptor for trans people who are only interested in dating other trans people" (as most other first-hand accounts I've seen on here, too) before he witnessed the term broadening into general trans 4 trans solidarity activism, as a term signifying "solidarity and power in the trans community, and an understanding that we are all fighting for the same trans liberation". The focus here is very strongly on trans solidarity, which clearly means all trans people. If somebody thinks "the trans community" means only transfems, then that says more about that person than the community itself.

Bottom line: T4T means exactly what it sounds like, trans for trans. Always has. Claiming that "trans" only means "transfem" is just trying to rewrite history, and another example of the active erasure of transmasc experiences and existence, even from within what's supposed to be our shared community. The only people who benefit from defining transmascs and trans men out of T4T are those who don't want them in the trans community. And besides, that's just not how the term is used, neither back on Craigslist nor today! Tf4Tf (or T4T lesbian) exists for a reason, and that's because T4T means trans4trans, which is all trans people.
