This is the meme where characters redirect their would-be suicidal thoughts...I swear it will make sense when you see it.

1. Kaladin

Kaladin: This sucks. I should kill m... [remembers that threatening suicide is bad for his mental heath] ...my old Brightlord, Amaram [remembers that extrajudicial murder makes Syl said] ...metaphorically, that is, by being the Bigger Man... [remembers that Rock did kill Amaram] ...not that there's anything wrong with killing an enemy on the field of battle... [remembers that Moash killed Elhokar during a battle] ...although sometimes that IS bad [remembers that moral quandaries stress him out] ...but I won't think about that. Because it sucks.

2. Kelsier

Kelsier: This sucks. I should kill myself... [remembers that he's the Survivor] ...is what a LOSER would say... [remembers that time when Marsh was suicidal] ...and also some other people who just have a good reason... [remembers that he's trying to found Survivorism] ...although in the end everyone should try to Survive instead [remembers how fun it is to kill nobles] ...although some people won't survive me, ha ha [remembers that he's trying to be worshipped as a divine figure] ...so make sure you don't incur my wrath, so you'll be safe... [remembers that basically his whole crew died] ...mostly. Kelsier: [Smiles] Kelsier: [In a pained way]

3. Jasnah

Jasnah: This sucks. I should kill... [remembers that killing herself is letting her enemies win] ...some random criminals in an alley.

4. Lightsong

Lightsong: This sucks. I should kill m.... [remembers that he can give up his life at any time and by doing so will save someone] Lightsong: ... Lighstong: Man. I really SHOULD kill myself. Lightsong: Eh, later!

4. Szeth

Szeth: This sucks. I should kill m... [remembers the lecture he'll get from Kaladin if he finishes that thought] ...my negative thoughts. By sending in good thoughts. To slaughter them. Brutally. Kaladin: I...guess that's okay?

6. Raoden

Roaden: The Shaod sucks. I should k... [remembers that he can't die] ...keep myself very safe since literally any pain will remain for eternity. Raoden: [chuckles] Raoden: I'm in danger.

7. Moash

Moash: This sucks. I should kill- (points at Elhokar) -that guy. Elhokar: Y-You didn't even hesitate! Moash: Why would I hesitate?

8. Tress

A little behind him, Kaladin and Laral walk together, looking happy and relaxed. They seem a little older than Tien, perhaps twelve. They are both smiling and holding sticks like staffs. Kaladin has tan skin and shoulder length dark brown wavy hair. He wears a green outfit made of trousers that reach past his knees, a long sleeved shirt and a long buttoned tunic over the top that is tied in the waist. He is smiling and looking at Laral.

Laral is smiling and walking with spring in her step, holding her stick-staff to the side. She has tan skin. Her dark brown hair has some blonde streaks in it, and it is held away from her face by pins but otherwise loose. She wears brown boots, a light yellow long sleeved shirt and white underskirt, and a long yellow buttoned tunic on top with orange and red accents.

The background shows rocks of various sized, open rockbuds sending out vines, and multiple lurgs scampering across the ground.

Shallan: Oh! I’m glad you felt ready to tell me, but I’ve known for a while.

wanted to draw Kal and Tien for a long time, so here is a piece from honestly one of the most heartbreaking scenes from the books.

I personally, love the way grief is portrayed in Kaladin’s story. How no matter what achievement he reaches, the ghost of his first great “ failure “ to protect his brother, always looms over him. It’s really touching and honestly one of my favorite things about Kaladin’s story line is how to live with that grief-
