Adolin can only keep his jealousy under control for so long before Dalinar's infatuation with Kaladin leads him to make a truly stupid decision.

A Surgeon's Calling (No Odium/Gavilar Lives AU) Kaladin/Adolin Kholin, rated M Content warnings for canon-typical violence, canon-typical heteronormativity, canon-typical mental illness, and Gavilar Kholin In an era without Odium, Adolin and Kaladin cross paths as children, a prince and a surgeon's apprentice. Ten years later, they meet again as adults in Kharbranth, an ambassador and a surgeon. When they part this time, Adolin promises to return, but Kaladin hasn't been completely honest about his future. By the time Adolin's mission is finished, Kaladin has returned to the army, and a certain Order of Knights Radiant is very displeased with Meridas Amaram.

Meals and Traditions

Adolin, who’s noted Kaladin missing meals due to his depression, starts roping Kaladin to lunch every day. It’s very fun and peaceful.

They both make it far more of an agonising and emotions-filled affair than it has to be.

Almost Romantic

Kaladin finds Adolin drunk and upset over nothing in particular and everything in general in a shady bar. He takes it upon himself to take care of that, if only for the night.

He absolutely does not almost confess his feelings in the process.

Almost Loved

Lyn who has been feeling off in their relationship for a while now and can’t ignore it anymore, breaks up with Kaladin, who doesn’t fight it.

Adolin notices something is up and invites Kaladin to talk, and gives him space to be sad.

It leads to something neither of them expected and both of them have wanted for a while. If only they could let it last.

Lopen wants one thing—to catch a skyeel and prove he’s faster than them. He convinces Sigzil to help him. Somehow, that ends up with everyone in Bridge Four trying to do the same thing.

Until Lopen challenges Kaladin, then promptly ends up causing a crash that leads to some confessions being made.

Of Riran Gold and Alethi Black - by Akorah (for now 8\8 Chapters) DONE! after the events of Oathbringer, mutual pining, really nice overall plot with different view points of other characters. really great characterization !!! Finished fics:

The Wisdom of Horses - by Cosmere_play (2\2 chapters) set post RoW with mild spoilers. I enjoy the characterization, sweet and deep atmosphere. their main conversation in chapter 2 was REALLY well handled and something I could legit see happening in the book itself. very sweet and soft and deep. deadly serious - by @cuubism (1\1 chapters) It was one of the first fics I've read about them and it's still one of my favorite. surgeon Kal from RoW and injured Adolin with 10 out of 10 characterization. love their banter - their softness everything!! Selfish Reasons - by Sitary (1\1 chapters) what if Adolin fell into the chasm with Kaladin instead? this fic is pretty well known I think but it's also REALLY amazingly written. absolutely perfect and this is my canon actually lol. More smutty fics: I must be favored to know you - by Basilbeans (10\10 chapters) In short: Kaladin and Adolin trip into courting and love, one ill-advised sexual encounter at a time. Especially chapter 3 is my favorite - <333

just a little closer - by bridge4wannabe when the gang are in Kholinar (book 3) and they stay at Yokska house. Kaladin and Adolin are pushed to stay in the same room, one bed uwu

Over Troubled Water - ongoing

slow burn that will burn you but also- the plot is so good, and the vibes are so immaculate and well thought out. it's the 70's and we got vampires, drama, romance angst and it's so good I have a few art piece for this fic in the #Over troubled water tag.

The Herald of Second Chances - Finished 18 chapter 🌶️

I may have reread this fic a few time at this point and it's always get's me emotional and giddy and heart breaking. a reincarnation story in future Roshar about Adolin who lived through many years and Kaladin that has been dead and now came back to life but with a twist of course ( a KNIFE TO THE CHEST) 10\10 read. did I mentioned it has an excellent smut too? and it's written by the amazing @the-mxs-of-manyofmany (who also draws very pretty) (this one is happening after W&T ! but like - a lottttt after it - and also changes a few things so take that into consideration)

Baseball. I have little knowledge about this sport but did it stop me from devouring this fic ? absolutely not ! the dialoged, the tension - the dramaaa the smut ??? shut up and take my money. I do love present\flashback chapters story, especially with SLA fics cause it gives the vibes from the book? this story is so much fun I can't stress it enough.

Almost series - Ongoing (but both parts can be read as oneshots)

If you ever wanted to get your heart cut out, thrown out of the window and then being kissed on your forehead? well ... this is the series for you! cause my god. did I feel pain but also giggled and twirled my hair around my finger. the writer is out to get me personally I know but that's ok cause this series is excellent, touching almost romantic you can say? HAHAHAHA sorry. the writer is very skilled the character characterization is absolutely fantastic. both parts are one shots that revolved around their friendship - relationship in a deep dive into pain-land :) and it's written by the amazing @calcifur96

this is a Leshwi x Kaladin fic that dives deep into the politics but oh boy is this one hell of a ride ! it got it all !! takes place between OB - RoW I really don't have enough words in my English vocabulary to explain how insane this fic is and how great it is, but this writer knows what they are doing! and it's written by the amazing @cuubism
