I've discovered that I can get myself to maintain focus when I'm totally stuck in my writing if I have something mindless to do with my hands the whole time - so I've started sewing little guys during my writing sessions. Now I'm producing way more words than before AND little stuffed bats at the same time. What am I going to do with a pile of stuffed bats? Don't worry about it.

The only problem with this is that it makes me too focused. It took me hours to return to full consciousness after putting together a particularly hard chapter last night.

I feel like I should mention for everyone who wants the bats that at present time the bats are not good. I may know how to write novels but I do not know how to sew.

Not on my A-game today and decided to try to do some work without sewing at the same time and you know what? I'm getting distracted by Tumblr every five minutes. The system works. I'm gonna go cut some cloth.

Sorry, my what? My pronouns? Oh, yeah I'm between genders at the moment. No, it's cool, I quit my last gender a little while ago because it really wasn't working out. I don't know if I even have a dream gender anymore.

Oh yeah, it did come with benefits, but they weren't really worth it. The culture was really toxic. To be honest I think I'd prefer a part-time gender so I can just be self-described in my spare time.

I mean, in a perfect world we wouldn't need gender, you know? We could just voluntarily be perceived as much as we're able, as much as makes us feel fulfilled. Having a full-time gender shouldn't be a prerequisite for food, shelter, and healthcare.
