Merlin Deserved Better

there’s just something so awesome about a character you love getting really badly hurt

if you see me liking contradicting headcanons for the same character just know it's because I do not give a fuck and I have an active imagination #hewouldsaythat

i hate it when i can tell my perception of a character is diminishing in real time because of fandom wank. like nooooo i want to maintain an objective relationship with the text but everyone is so annoying about you nooooo

hate or love Arthur pendragon as a character, eventually you will come to understand why everyone was trying to kill the guy

sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "mmmhmmm okay yeah i see we both interpreted that differently based on what the show gave us, but i see how you arrived at your ideas even if they're different from mine," and then sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "brother what show did you even fucking watch"

Best part is if someone deletes their account, the kudos remains, and it just gets swapped over to a guest kudos instead. The body is gone but the love remains.

I had somethin of an essay once that talked about how in s5, Merlin is framed subtly as a villain by the use of lighting and camera framing(e.g dark shadows hiding his face same as morgana), which i believe is part of the reason people think Merlin prioritises Arthur over magic

and a cannon is a large mounted gun, usually on wheels, that uses explosives to fire projectiles.
