I know it's been a while since I've done one of these rec lists -- it's not that I quit reading fic but that I've been exceptionally busy -- but this one I felt was necessary. 5 amazing GO3 fix-its in this post (and please feel free to post your own favorites in reblogs or replies).

sometime is now, someplace is here by Path_Finder - A/C, 6k words, T.  Crowley and Aziraphale ask God for something else -- and they have a real discussion.  Lovely and healing.

in the kitchen by carrythesky / @carry-the-sky - A/C, 1k words, G.  In which Crowley and Aziraphale start with the books to bring the world back, and they succeed.  This is soft and beautiful and fits so well with the book/S1 philosophy.

Angiogenesis by casidicus / @a-causidicus - A/C, 6k words, E.  After being reincarnated as Asa and Anthony, eventually Crowley and Aziraphale "wake up" and remember their old lives -- and finally have a real conversation and cathartic sex.  This fic actually made me like Asa and Anthony a little bit, the story of their first date here is truly delightful.

Revival by CopperBeech / @copperplatebeech - A/C, 3k words, E.  Everything I've read by Copper has been wonderful, and this story is both incredibly hot and deeply sweet, as Aziraphale and Crowley, instead of talking to God, have a very Big Bang of their own.

Empty Pages by cheeseplants (me) - A/C, 857 words, G.

What if they wrote their own stories? Short ficlet where Aziraphale and Crowley write their own universes in the empty books.

The Gang Watches Good Omens Season Three by MxMaxZephyrus. 3,190 words, T.

I struggled to pull together fics that suited the theme I had in mind for today, so I decided to go in a new direction. I looked at every fic on my spreadsheet that I rated as the best, but that had not yet made any of my theme lists to recommend.

What that means is that these fics have little in common with each other beyond the fact that I really loved them. Some are old. Some are new. They are all, in my opinion, among the best things I've read. Let's start with Bringing Up Warlock (T) by @hkblack. It was inspired by the classic screwball comedy, Bringing up Baby. Aziraphale is restoring a priceless volume while trying to solicit a much needed donation from a wealthy patron. Unfortunately, he keeps getting interrupted by disaster Crowley, and a swan named Warlock. The writer did a great job capturing the madcap pacing and dialogue from the original film. It made me laugh out loud and brought me back to one of my all time favorite films.

Next I have Experiments of an angel who has read entirely too much fanfic (T) by azzfell and @fellshish. In this charming and funny crackfic, Aziraphale reads Good Omens fan fiction where he discovers writers shipping him and Crowley. The story is made up from his diary entries telling which fan fic tropes he's tried and how they worked.

In Heart is Where the Home Is (G) by @cheeseplants, Aziraphale and Crowley have a heart to heart talk on Alpha Centauri when they reunite. It's tender and sweet. Inspired by the writer watching the finale trailer, I suspect many fans will find it's everything they could have wanted in a conversation between our ineffable pair. Finally, I'll finish with Music for Absent Friends (G) by @angie-words. In this sweet, one-shot, we learn how the Small Back Room record shop found space in the back of Fell's bookshop. In the 1920s, Mildred begins selling records. One record by Shubert reminds Aziraphale of happier times with Crowley. This was such a lovely story about a wonderful original character.
