[Human AU, in the kids' teens. Don and Lily are kissing Lily's garage.]
Lily: [suddenly pulls away and motions for Don to be quiet]
Lily: ...-My mom's coming, hide.
Don: [panic noises]
Lily: Shh! [Shoves Don behind the van]
Don: [nearly trips but manages to quietly hide]
Lorraine: [entering the garage]
Lily, looking for something on a shelf: Mom, have you seen the little hand rake?
Lorraine, suspecting nothing: No. Have you checked the back shed?
Lily: I should. But I don't remember where the key is, can you show me again?
Lorraine: I can show you, yeah. Follow me.
[Their footsteps are taking them out of the garage. When their voices fade, Don peaks out and checks to see if the coast is clear, then makes a run for it, bolting to the edge of the driveway and taking another peak before running to the fence and starting to climb over it.]
Lily from the side of the house: No, I can get it, it's fine!
Lorraine, also from the side of the house: No, it's way up high, you might get hurt! I'll get it!
Don: [panicking as his shoes slide against the fence, hoisting himself up and flopping over to the other side]
Don: Oof!
[Don listens for footsteps again, waiting for Lorraine to enter the garage before he gets up, bolts across the street, and bursts into his own front door.]
Don: [slams the door behind himself, panting] I think I lost twenty pounds in sweat! This is going to kill me from a heart attack, mom!
