The FDA is considering a petition to make all trans women on estrogen enroll in a registry as a condition of our prescriptions.

If you are in the United States, you have the power to comment on this proposed regulation. The instructions for doing so, and more about the petition, are here. I just left a comment, and it took two minutes. You can do so anonymously.

The petition is bad for other reasons too. It blatantly singles out transgender women and asks for mandatory psychiatric gatekeeping of lifesaving gender affirming care.

right now there are 61 comments on the petition and all are in support of it. Being one of the voices that pushes back is the easiest thing in the world.

If you don't like those posts about how everyone on this website doesn't care about trans women, and wouldn't lift a finger to save us from genocide, here's your chance to prove them wrong.

i just spent today feeling so proud of a girl for accepting herself, and feeling grateful that i got the chance to play a part in helping her get there. full of the love involved in "cracking an egg," which is to say helping a fellow sister Live, love herself, become herself. it's the most incredible thing in the world.

and meanwhile, here is britt and her crowd, the harassment "justice" campaign, who are aghast and appalled at just that, a girl helping another girl find herself.

this isn't fucking coercion, as always the "force" in forcefem is never actually about forcing anything, it's about helping, it's about pushing through the fear. you don't fucking know these people, britt, you don't know these people, ridafi14, why the fuck are you acting like you know this is some twisted and sinister plot, a breach of trust. why does it feel "icky" to you for a girl to help another girl live? christ alive, in the post it says "she knows she's trans" but is too afraid to do anything about it. a loving supportive friend willing to help me take that step would've made me transition much faster!! that sort of support and love could have saved the lives of so many of my sisters.

how fucking dare you. you're all sickening to me. it's so mask off it's honestly startling. you find it "icky" for more trans women to live and be happy. it's "coercion" for us to help our sisters survive. it's "gross" and it "rubs you the wrong way" to see trans joy celebrated.

When I was a teenager and learning about critiquing, one of the things I was explicitly taught was that you don't share other people's manuscripts without permission, full stop. If you're critiquing someone's story, you don't show that draft to your partner, or your friend, or anyone, no matter how good or how bad or how funny or how weird or how whatever you think it is. You have been extended a degree of trust, but that does not come with the right to extend that trust to someone else on the author's behalf.
