some people seem to think that "make your code as short as possible" means literally removing every single space possible and using single-letter variable names. noobish behavior. sad!

My mom likes to tell me about how when I was a little kid riding public transport with her I'd always smile and giggle and chat with weird old ladies who smelled like cat pee and homeless folks and strangers dressed in bizarre outfits but any time a tidy and respectable businessman in a suit and tie waved at me I'd immediately clam up, and she takes a great deal of pride in my supposed inherentability to clock personalities but the truth is I do vaguely remember those bus rides, and it was never about the clothes or the hair or the smell, but more because everyone "strange" asked interesting questions and listened to what I had to say and seemed to think about what I said while the neat and tidy and rigid folks only ever acted like they were going through the motions, which was boring as hell and also pretty annoying

everyone start using your queues more theyre the best goddamn feature on tumblr. imagine if you could post consistently with no effort. imagine if instead of passing around the same new art like a blunt you put it in an indeterminate purgatory where it would come out at random because you shuffled the queue like 5 times to disguise the fact that you went buckwild over your blorbo and went through their whole tag

terrifying when you watch a movie or a show or whatever & youre like that was fun but it felt a little redundant they didnt need to hammer the point home that much & then you go online & theres thousands of people going that was so weird i did not get it what did that mean google.com ending explained please?

It brings me no end of joy that a Disney released theatrical Star Wars movie (which is basically DLC for a disney plus show but that's another conversation) is getting smoked in its second weekend by two low to mid budget horror movies made by first time directors in their 20s given basically blank check creative control. Things are looking good for the movies these days
