THIRTEEN HOURS in A&E (ER in US). Bless the man who saw me crying and alone in the overcrowded and chaotic room around hour 11, gave me tissues and sat down with me to chit-chat and distract me while he himself was waiting for a stroke assessment (my husband was with kid over night obviously).

Followed by 6 hours on a ward and a big nothingburger treatment. I’m usually very understanding when it comes to the NHS and how it has been destroyed over the last two decades, but this was ridiculous. 😭 The drunk w*nker giving a speech about MEGA (Make England Great Again…) and ensuing fistfight didn’t help either.

All that is to say - Technicolor update towards the end of the weekend.

Thank you so much! I always try not to get too OOC but still bend the characters a bit, esp with AUs, which gives me more freedom... (Considering the sometimes jarring OOCness for plot needs on the actual show, I think that’s fine lol).

I used to write exclusively HP and Dragon Ball Z many years ago 🙈 I still adore anything Dragon Ball, but don’t see any inspiration strike there again in the future. I do have one Bridgerton one-shot up and might write more, but I think it’ll only be T7S for me in the foreseeable future. I’m ending Technicolor this or next week, depending on my health and work schedule, and will pick up the Marketing Queen AU again. Still working on finishing Match made in Point Place, but that seems to be cursed.

I do have a T7S one-shot called ‘Shade of Yellow’ in the works!

Metric ton of work to catch up on (I’m self-employed, so of course all the big offers come in when I’m busy 🤢 my soul out), but will update my fics as soon as I can because I NEED to get Split Signal and final of Technicolor out.

The humour. This one is probably obvious because it’s a sitcom. It doesn’t matter how often I’ve watched certain eps/scenes, they still make me laugh. Kelso is horrible as a person, but outside of all his f*ckboy ways he.is.so.funny. Same for many of the other characters.

To add to that, esp AK and TG’s performances. I think Eric could have been quite bland and boring next to most of the other characters, but TG’s performance stands out way above everybody else’s imo.

Another note on the humour: The show has it’s usual ‘produced in the 90s’ trappings, but I’m glad it’s not chock-a-block with homophobia, transphobia and fatphobia. Yes, there are certain eps that are problematic, but it’s not like… a show I won’t name, because this is supposed to be positive.

The 70s setting. It’s before my time and I actually like that it doesn’t make me feel nostalgic for the time it’s set in like stuff from the 90s or 00s, because that quickly leads to melancholy for me.

Leo fills my heart with joy and peace.

Jackie and Hyde - as much as the writing let them down at points, it’s one of my OTPs.

… Okay, I actually feel a bit more cheerful now thinking about all of that 💕

What’s a song you think would remind Hyde of Jackie and vice versa post first few make-outs?

Up to mid-1980 release, and no Zeppelin or Grateful Dead as I know their catalogues well and have some songs set aside already :) Hyde also appreciates Blues and SOME Country (not pure) in my fic as he’s older and wiser, so that widens the pool.

I’ve already got angsty stuff for later, so I need somethinfg for this new stage in their not-yet-relationship. And this is ALSO for me to possibly find new (to me) music 🤣
