Pinup Style Enamel Pins from CarlationsArt
For decades, the medical community has ignored mountains of evidence to wage a cruel and futile war on fat people, poisoning public perception and ruining millions of lives. It's time for a new paradigm.
âDiets do not work. Not just paleo or Atkins or Weight Watchers or Goop, but all diets. Since 1959, research has shown that 95 to 98 percent of attempts to lose weight fail and that two-thirds of dieters gain back more than they lost. The reasons are biological and irreversible. â
Fatsplaining at its finest. I donât give a fuck when someone chooses to not be healthy, but donât sit there and make bullshit excuses and blame anything other than yourself and your lack of self control. Take responsibility and own up to it, youâre not fooling anyone.
Iâm sorry other peopleâs shapes make you so angry that you pretend science is wrong
Obviously this person must think climate change is wrong and vaccines cause autism

IF YOU ARE UNMARRIED, DON'T HAVE KIDS, AND HATE YOUR PARENTS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAVE A FUCKING WILL
this has been a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood probate lawyer
Again:
1. The law doesn't care how long your parents and family have been out of your life
2. The law doesn't care about your long term friends or "found family"
If you don't have legal documents that say otherwise, your biological family calls all the shots.
This goes especially for LGBTQ+. Please do not get deadnamed in your obituary.
How to make a will.
How to make a living will (Advance Healthcare Directive) so you donât get fucked over by biological family if you end up in a situation where you cannot make your own healthcare choices.
If youre trans, this video is a good ref to start with and she provides links and organizations that can help
@ all trans people about to attend online school:
This will visually remove your deadname from any webpage. Obviously switch it off if your parents wanna check up on your work, but yee here's the link fam!!!! BOOST THIS!!! SEND THIS TO ANY TRANS PERSON YOU KNOW WHO WILL NEED THIS
An easy to use Google Chrome plugin to automatically remove and replace deadnames
This is really awesome!
i....hate my school. they blocked this. like, wtf?
If your school has blocked this I recommend using âInteractiveFicsâ. Its originally used for changing Y/N to your own name but it has a separate option where you can change any word/name to what you want.
It has a less likely chance of being blocked so I thought Iâd mention it.
WordReplacer II works as well, though itâs not specifically designed for deadnames

Something important that i thought of while half asleep this morn but: youre trans even if youâre not âdoing anything about itâ. Youâre trans if youre in the closet. Youre trans if youre pre/never hrt. Youre trans if youre pre/never op. Youre trans if you donât ever tell anyone that youre trans. You can realize right now that youre a man or a woman or neither or both and walk around with that for the rest of your life without doing anything, and youre still gonna be trans. Youre born trans and youâll die trans. Just how it is. Also its not that complicated to âbe transâ, wanting to be a different gender is what makes you trans, not hrt or dysphoria. have a good day yall.
Native artwork is honestly fucking gorgeous and it infuriates me that when you think of or try to look up âNative American artâ, you get fetishistic, colonizer bullshit.
Iâm so fucking sick of it. Weâre always defined by how other people see us.
That and native art is so underrated too. Itâs hard to get attention to my artwork, itâs hard to get attention to any native artist, art competition, gallery.. anything. We all spend hours, days, even weeks honing our skills and creating art for ourselves and others. People only want the creations we slave over when itâs cheap or free. They donât recognize each detail and itâs meaning or the intricacies we took time to sketch out or bead in or sew or anything.
I go to festivals in my area where lots of indigenous people (namely First Nations or Salish) are. A lot of their tents have the stereotypical fetishing native art incorporated into a product somehow and it makes me a little forlorn, but there isnât much I can do but be sad. Now thatâs a part of a bigger issue I canât get into now, but you see the problem.
Art from all nations needs to be recognized.
I bought art from a creator named Harmony Hoss. She was so friendly and she sells her art at Pikeâs Place in Seattle as a Tlingit woman. Tell me her formline isnât absolutely gorgeous. But she goes so unrecognized because people are so unimpressed with her hard work.
Anyways, support native artists.
For anyone who wants to support Harmony Hoss, she has a website!
Unfortunately, itâs incredibly difficult finding real Native artists online just because of how many people blatantly lie or use misdirection to make people think that theyâre Native. If anyone has recommendations for Native artists, feel free to share them!
Here are some native artists and businesses!
Sa-Cinn - https://sa-cinn.com/ - Northwest Coastal-based native business that showcases different artists who make a variety of items such as prints, blankets, jewelry, and drums.
Dancing Blackbird - https://dancingblackbird.com/ - Native hat-band artist based in Arizona. (https://etsy.me/2ES5FDi)
Shotridge - https://shotridgenativeamericanart.com/ - Family-owned Tlingit art business. (https://etsy.me/2EOXXtt)
Harmony Hoss - http://harmonys-art.com/ - Tlingit traditional artist who sells prints online and in Pikeâs Place, Seattle. (https://instagram.com/hoss.harmony?igshid=fmqf1v8fjpic)
Thunder Voice Hat co - https://www.thundervoicehatco.com/ - Non-mass produced Navajo-made hats. (https://instagram.com/thundervoicehatco?igshid=qee5nrj3sx0g)
Ahyoka Studio - https://etsy.me/2Zo9ucx - Oji-Cree creator of keychains, earrings, and stylized dreamcatchers. (https://instagram.com/ahyokastudio?igshid=mzkx8liuives)
Earth Maidens Emporium - https://etsy.me/399rAn7 - Jewelry and stylized dreamcatchers made by a Cherokee man and his partner.
Nipinet - https://instagram.com/nipinet?igshid=1f5o0z2i288bx - Anishinaabe MĂŠtis tattoo artist (& a mutual of mine. đ¤)
David Robert Boxley - http://davidrobertboxley.com/ - Tsimshian artist. (https://instagram.com/davidrobertboxley?igshid=jktg991on3tm)
Spiderstitch - https://instagram.com/spiderstich?igshid=1eehi5qj4qnds - Mexica-WixĂĄrika artist who handmakes beaded earrings.
Beyond Buckskin Boutique - http://shop.beyondbuckskin.com/ - Lots of different native fashion. Their buy native list: http://www.beyondbuckskin.com/p/buy-native.html?m=1
Hereâs some more that are some of my faves!
John Isaiah Pepion (Instagram link)- Blackfeet contemporary ledger artist who also has earrings, phone cases, and blankets on his site which is linked on his IG bio. My fave t-shirt is from one of his pieces back when he was first testing out merch and he ran some off. Iâm still crossing my fingers and trying not to hit him up like âthis would be dope on a shitâ every time he posts a new piece
The Chiefâs Daughter (Instagram link) - Karli Crow Shoe a Pikanii/Blackfoot/Nez Perce designer who focuses mainly on beadwork; she does a ton of custom works and is influenced heavily by Niitsitapi culture for sellable work
Bunky Echo-Hawk (Instagram link) - Pawnee/Yakima visual artist and visual performer. Youâve probably seen his work floating around Cyber NDN Country even if youâve never heard of him; heâs the one who painted Yoda as a Pawnee that one time years and ages ago. He sells prints and stickers on his website where thereâs a link in his IG bio; heâs pretty popular but Imma always feel like everybody needs to know Bunkyâs work
Tumblrâs own resident Bear But Not Really That Kind, @baapi-makwa whoâs Insta link is here. An Ojibwe artist working almost exclusively with ink and pens, thereâs a link to his Patreon in his bio as well
Kiamichi who is on and off tumblr as @mahtheyzhawey and can be found on Instagram here and is an amazing beadwork artist from the Ponka and Chahta Nations. She made my sweet ass piece with the big ol coyote medallion got me lookin like my cousin on Tribal Council and shit
The Cauldron & The Crown (Instagram link with a link to the shop in the bio) - BlackNDN Tsalagi jewelry maker whomst is on here as well but tbh I can only remember their personal blog and not their arty blog which is my fault but to keep it a hunnid, @crouchingtiger-hiddennegro is funny as hell and I have no room in my heart for anything else
Needle Knot And Thread (Instagram link) - Mayâs a textile artist from the Tsalagi Nation and makes such dope lil embroidery samples, earrings, patches, and quilt squares n stuff! Thereâs a link to an etsy shop in the bio
Ali Watson (Instagram link) - an Oglala Lakota jewelry maker whoâs also a cool person! My fave pair of earrings was made by Ali! The turquoise ones with the dentalium drops; thereâs a link to a main website in the bio
Panda Moon (Instagram link) - Yâall remember that dope beaded moon pin I got not too long ago with the little bat dangle? The homie Jennifer made it! Sheâs Southern Cheyenne and beads jewelry and pins. She could REALLY use the capital right now as sheâs in a financially dire situation having recently escaped a horrible situation. If you donât want to buy anything from her which, why wouldnât you but thatâs none of my business; thereâs a link to her GoFundMe on her bio too!
Project 562 (Instagram link) - Matika Wilbur from Swinomish and Tulalip Nations. Now, sheâs a photographer so this isnât strictly the kind of art that weâre discussing BUT I feel itâs super important to include her because Project 562 is about photographing Indigenous People BY an Indigenous Person FROM an Indigenous perspective. Itâs about reclaiming imagery, narrative, direction, and power that was written for us by the Olde Timey white ethnographers like Edward S Curtis
I have DEFINITELY forgotten people on this list and if any of yâall who know I fuck witcha the long way come across this and donât see yourself on here, know that I am sorry, that was unintentional I can only blame it on the fact that Iâm tired as hell and I got the Brain Rot at the best of times

reblog this post if your account is a trans safe space or owned by a trans person!
along with that, reblog if your account is a non-binary spectrum safe space or owned by someone on the nb spectrum!
I think nonblack people should stop making blm themed art & like merch, even when profits are being donated, and maybe just promote black peoples art that is doing the same thing. A lot of yâall are fishing for promo/followers, a lot of yâall are speaking on things you donât experience (an ex being the print I just saw abt black generational trauma made by a nonblack person?? Hello??). So yeah just stop.
Just......buy & promote black peoples art....we donât need 10,000 nonblack ppl selling BLM or black power fist stickers (stop using that symbol altogether) on redbubble.
A friend of mine sent me this link to a TON of online stores by black people:

Day 1 of Tumblrâs #ActsOfPride campaign:
These are the black trans lives we have lost due to violence in the United States since 2009. Sadly, this is most likely not a complete list as many of the souls we have lost go unreported or were misgendered. They will not be forgotten.

I was scrolling down this list and the longer I realized this list was the more tears formed in my eyes.. Say their names âđ˝âđžâđż
Letâs talk about the fabulous aromantics out there
this is why its depressing to work in a pharmacy.
I was definitely a profit killer when I worked in a pharmacy (which honestly was my favorite job in the entire world, but it was short-lived and nowadays you canât work at a pharmacy like that, itâs all tied in with corporate retail and no one should ever trust me with a cash register ever). It was not, however, actually a profit killer for the pharmacy, just for the drug companies, so no one cared. These days I do medical billing, which means I actually bill OUT from hospitals so Iâm mostly spending my professional time taking money away from insurance companies.Â
I will now impart all of my profit killing resources onto you, in case you donât know them. I think most of you know them, now. But just in case you donât.
THIS IS US-CENTRIC. IâM SORRY.Â
1. GoodRx - this thing has an app now, so you can look up the best places to get your expensive medicines at the lowest possible prices without insurance on the go, and you no longer have to print coupons because you can just hand over your phone or tablet. Times have changed for the better with GoodRx. Definitely use it before trying to fill your scrip, because it will tell you the best place to go. (You can do that on the website, too.)
2. NeedyMeds - Needymeds is basically the clearinghouse of drug payment assistance. They have their own discount cards, but also connections to many patient assistance programs run by drug companies themselves. They are good assistance programs, too.
3. Ask your county - This is not a link. This is a pro tip. Most county social services will have pharmacy discount programs for people with no and/or shitty pharmaceutical coverage. You can often just find them hanging around at social services offices; you can just pick one up and walk off with it.Â
4. Ordering online - There are a few safe online pharmacies. I keep a little database in a text file on my computer. Most of them are courtesy of CFS forums, my mother or voidbat, so a lot of that is a hat tip to other people, but if youâre in need of a place to get a drug without a prescription ⌠first Iâll make sure you 100% know what youâre doing for safety reasons and then Iâm happy to turn over a link.Â
5. Healthfinder - A government resource that helps find patient assistance programs in your area. This might also point out the convenient county card thing. RxHope is something a lot of people get pointed to via Healthfinder thatâs a good program.
6. Mental Health America - Keeps a list of their best PAPs for psychiatric medications, which can be some of the most expensive and a lot of pharmacy plans donât cover them at all.Â
This is so important ppl.
Signal boost the shit out of it!
Booooooooooooooooooost
Good Rx Saved my family a hundred dollars a month while I was getting signed up for CHIP seriously itâs a life savor especially for ridiculously expensive drugs like abilify
Useful info, friends! ;)
Since many of our followers are on medications, I feel like this would be an important resource. -Luna
Also! Some drug companies have patient assistance programs where they send you the drug for FREE if you are uninsured, or if your insurance doesnât cover that drug.
Do a Google search for âpatient assistant programsâ + (your med), or search the manufacturers website. Sometimes the info is online; other times you have to call.
Even some of the big name pharma companies have this. Itâs certainly not all companies, or all meds, but it is worth a shot.
Before Obamacare, I lost insurance and couldnât pay for my mood stabilizers (kiiiiinda important to have those when youâre bipolar.) I was on generic Lamictal, but I went to the official Lamictal website, filled out a form with a valid prescription, and they mailed my meds to me every month for free.
If you know anything about bipolar disease, you know that that was a literal life saver. Patient assistance programs ftw!
This is so important given the recent vote to repeal Obamacare. And the cartoon above is so on point Theyâre literally voting to kill people. Literally.
Some of my meds are no longer going to be partially covered by my ridiculously expensive private insurance. I just used the GoodRX website to look it up, and I can either spend $40 at Target to pay for one of them out of pocketâper monthâ, or I can get it at Sams Club for $4. No that is not a typo. The drug I need to take every single day to keep my allergies from spiraling out of control (yay auto-immune bullshit) is literally ten times cheaper at Sams Club. Holy shit.
Signal boost for my US buds
https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/this-nurse-didnt-just-create-a-replacement-n95-mask-hers-filters-more/
Tommye Austin has created a new better mask!
A Texas "nurse scientist" created a better face mask, in case her nursing staff ever ran outâand Tommye Austinâs TM 2020 is a better one by
The name N95 comes from the fact the masks filter 95% of airborne particles, such as viruses. Lab results show Tommyeâs masks block 96.5%.
N95s werenât intended for all-day use, so they tend to carve painful, unsightly marks into noses, cheeks and chins. Hers donât.
With nowhere for exhaled carbon dioxide to escape, N95 wearers sometimes suffer dizziness or headaches. Hers have an air pocket so the C02 floats more easily away
She even provided her instructions for free, what an amazing woman
Hey!!! Made some thingz, thought yâallâz would like them!
Happy pride month everyone!

MORE PLACES TO DONATE
note: more links are listed in the masterposts below.
northstar health collective (healthcare and medical aid for people on the front lines)
reclaim the block (aims to redistribute police funding to help the minneapolis community)
twin cities dsa (provides fresh groceries and hot meals to people in minneapolis)
2. educate yourself
it isnât enough to sign petitions and reblog/retweet/etc. nonblack people, including people of color, owe it to black people to educate themselves and correct themselves and the people around them on anti-blackness.
note: more links are in the masterposts linked below.

3. give out supplies to protestors
people need supplies to protest safely, and even if they bring supplies with them, they can often run out. if youâre able, stock up and hand them out to people protesting. for more supplies to donate, see the âgeorge floyd actionâ google docs link in section 5.
water bottles (dehydration and heatstroke are not things people should have to deal with alongside bastard cops. if the police in your area are particularly violent or known to use tear gas, get the ones with the sports cap/suction-thing/etc so people can use them as emergency eye-flushes.)
snacks (make sure to take into account that people have allergies of all sorts. foods will have a little label that says âmay containâ and then list any potential allergens. write the allergens on the ziploc (or any container you use) in permanent marker, or better yet, write the snacks included in the pack.)
masks (donât forget thereâs still a pandemic going on. also it will aid in deterring facial recognition when the police try to track down protestors, Â also part two, if the cops use tear gas, wearing a mask (with the combination of a scarf or bandana) will lessen the adverse effects. lessen, not stop.)
bandanas, scarves, etc. and goggles (ski goggles, swimming goggles, etc.) (see above for explanation on the scarves. same goes for the goggles. antiâtear gas and antiâfacial recognition.)
clean shirts (for people who are heavily gassed. also helps deter recognition through clothing.)
wound care supplies (band-aids, packets of neosporin packets or a similar antibiotic, alcohol wipes, etc.; if you can, decant bactine into those little travel bottles.)
a sharpie or another type of marker (for writing bail numbers or emergency contacts on arms, hands, etc. itâs not enough to have your cityâs bail fund number stored on your phone; the police wonât give it to you to look it up. give people a marker so they can write it down, preferably not washable so it isnât easily removed.)
IMPORTANT: KNOWING FIRST AID
tear gas: if youâre hit, get out as fast and as soon as you can. take anyone you can with you. the longer youâre in the gas, the harder it will be for you to see, and it can irritate your airways, making it hard to breathe. if youâre hit, donât run; itâll only make things worse on your lungs. when you leave the area, take a cold shower. donât use hot water (it will only reactivate the agent); donât bathe (it will only spread the CS around). (source 1) (source 2) (cdc fact sheet on tear gas)
move them to a clean and ventilated area where itâs as safe as possible.
ask them if theyâre wearing contact lenses. have them remove it. if theyâre wearing glasses, rinse it with water.
solution of half liquid antacid, half water. spray from the inside going out, with the head tilted back and slightly towards the side being rinsed. if they say itâs okay, open the eye slightly while doing this. (source)
bullet wounds: the most important thing is to stop the bleeding. be sure to check for an exit wound and cover that as well. treat both wounds, but treat the worse one first.

first aid in active shooting scenarios
making a tourniquet (a commercial tourniquet is best, but improvised ones can work as well if done properly; the most important things to remember is that tourniquets are for limb injuries and are not meant for the head or torso and that they have to be very tightly wound on the injury.)

4. be a source of information
be responsible with this. peopleâs lives are at stake. that being said, the media is a fucking joke and the best way to get accurate information in a grassroots rebellion is amongst ourselves. record everything, but if you are going to share any information at all, be sure to blur peopleâs faces.

NUMBERS TO CALL FOR ARRESTED PROTESTORS (ALPHABETICAL ORDER; SOURCES LINKED TO THE NUMBER)
remember to keep phones OFF unless absolutely necessary. cell phone towers, stingrays, location notifs can all be used to track you and other protestors. donât fuck around. if your phone must be on, keep it on airplane mode as often as possible and only communicate using encrypted methods. no, snapchat doesnât count.
