Hot take that really shouldn't be:
If you refer to historically significant trans men as "women who disguised themselves as men to get ahead in their career" then you are a misogynist and you should question the societal beliefs that brought you to that conclusion.
You are applying the same logic as someone who claims that a woman slept with the boss to get ahead in her career.
Trans men and their contributions to society have been systematically erased from the historical record. If a trans man was successful in passing while he was alive and his biological sex wasn't discovered when he died, then he went down in history as just another man. If he was discovered after death, it was assumed he was just a woman who chose to dress as a man for literally any reason besides gender identity. This is because masculinity and manhood have always been considered positive attributes that grant someone a level of privilege and no one questions why a woman would want to access that. People don't question the identity of trans women because there is nothing to be gained in dressing up as the "weaker sex" and voluntarily putting yourself in danger for zero perceived external benefits.
I'm not holding trans women and men up and comparing their struggles. I just want to point out that if you don't think trans men have been present throughout history making contributions to society and fighting alongside their trans sisters, you need to rethink your own bias.
