I have thick & coarse hair that is not textured, so if your hair is I recommend looking up the curly girl method because it should help a lot with methods of controlling tangles & mats without destroying your hair. It’s also useful for wavy hair as well.

I recommend not washing your hair everyday but sticking to a schedule, two times a week is when I wash my hair so I prevent dryness & oiliness at the same time. You might need more or less.

Cutting back on hot water & blow dryers is helpful, as is switching from hair bands to scrunchies or hair sticks.

Don’t feel afraid to switch brands of shampoo and conditioner. Brands meant for POC are the best, especially black owned. If you can’t find local brands, larger ones like Shea Butter or Carol’s Daughter are great.

Hair masks are worth it. I use one after I wash my hair and just rinse when I’m ready. It leaves my hair feeling very slick and makes it easier to brush, whilst helping control the moisture in my hair.

Don’t feel afraid to try a deep cleanser or foam treatment for your hair either. Oiling your hair in the shower is also a good idea because it gives minerals and oils back to your hair, natives I know still use animal fat and oils, which are very traditional to use and work good for native hair.

Regardless if you meant actual harm you did everything in your power to discredit us as Indigenous Mexicans to your followers( whom then sent us anon hate afterwards) I came at you in an immature way but this had started because you had a problem with Rune saying Aztec since 2019 without ever once asking why they reclaimed it.

Why didn't you take the time to read what we wrote when this is our culture? We were born and raised in it and you took the time to learn it, there was no reason for it to go this far and yet you were hellbent on telling everyone we were pretenders simply for one word and a cartoon.

I took the time to read everything you’d both said and, from my and other Nahua perspectives, it was entirely wrong, because we have never met Nahuas (even from places out of my region) who felt and talked about any of these topics like you two did. It was an entirely different world to us.

All of us believe in entirely different things from you two and have different outlooks on history. That is fine, maybe it’s a regional factor. We still practice (safe) animal sacrifice where I and my friends are from, even. I was not as “hellbent” to disprove these as you probably thought I was but I had significant doubts in you, and for that I know I am wrong now.
