in happier pride news i actually found this deeply heartwarming
that's solidarity baybeeee
Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.
At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.
Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Minersâ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to âencourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community [âŚ] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.â
Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism arenât marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle â¤ď¸âđŠšđŚ
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.
INCREDIBLY CONCERNING SPIKE IN ANTI-BLACKNESS IS HAPPENING RN.
Some of yall may have heard some of the shit that has been going on right now. I'm gonna give a quick run down of some of the stuff that has been happening. Note, this is not all, and it may never be all as much as I will try to update this.
(I am going to try and compile and briefly explain these as much as I can. There may be misinformation. Please inform me if I got something wrong.)
(This will also be updated with additional information and new topics added.)
1) Racist Chinese Dolls.
There are these dolls in China that are being called "Natasha" baby dolls. These dolls are not only very obvious caricatures of black people, but they are being advertised as a "stress relief" in which the people who buy these abuse it in various ways.
This links to a video of a compilation of the various "uses" of the doll. There are more in the replies of the tweet. (Another link to the same tweet just incase)
2) The Mocking, Abuse, and Dehumanization of Black Children.
Apart from the aforementioned doll, there are apparently people going around mocking, abusing, and dehumanizing black children.
Some people have compared black children to the doll.
Others have been going into African countries and have found ways to mock, abuse, and dehumanize black children for clout.
(Source 1 + Full Video) (Source 2)
There are more videos surfacing.
3) Black people are going missing.
Black people, especially children and teens have recently been going missing at an alarming rate. Some of these same people are turning up dead, deaths being ruled as "suicides."
While it generally unknown why many of these people are going missing, many suspect that their disappearances, deaths, and even lack of coverage is rooted in anti-blackness.
The following is a list of black people that have been reported missing as of recently. Please note that this is not a complete list (it may never be completed due to the fact that many of these disappearances will still occur as time passes) this may contain inaccurate information. Please inform me if that is the case.
By the time you see this, some of these people may have already been found either alive or deceased. This post will be updated overtime.
It is also heavily encouraged that you reblog this with more links to recent cases of missing black people if you are aware of any that arenât included on this list.

Learning this was an intentional genocide changed me.
I know most of those following me know this, but just to make it super clear. An Gorta MĂłr (The Great Hunger/the Great Famine) was a deliberate genocide of the Irish people. There was enough food grown in Ireland to make sure everyone was alive and healthy and survived. Instead it was exported, sent to England and elsewhere for profit while men, women, and children starved in the streets. While the English landlords fucked off and evicted starving families who couldnât afford rent. While babies were too weak to cry and died at the side of the road.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. And we owe so much thanks to the other oppressed peoples, in particular the Choctaw Nation and the Masai, who sent money and grain to us.
Let me repeat that. The Choctaw Nation who had just gone through the Trail of Tears sent us money to try save Irish lives. Itâs led to an understanding between Irish people and Native American tribes, most recently when we donated to the Navajo and Hopi fundraisers for COVID-19 relief, because while it may be a different tribe, Irish people will never forget those who helped us and weâll help back.
The entire population of the island is less than seven million people. Weâre still a million less on this island than pre famine. And itâs not that long ago. My grandmotherâs grandparents lived through it. Weâve told the stories, it literally changed the DNA of the country. We have a national fear of renting, because so many people were evicted. People joke about Irish people always offering loads of food, but itâs because thereâs that cultural memory of not being able to.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. We will not let them take our lives, we will not let them take our language. We lost so much, but we will not lose it all.
This is why I get so angry when people say âit was the potato famine, it was because of monoculture/microbes.â
Nope. The potatoes were the only thing Irish people were allowed to fucking eat, because as pointed out, the rest of the crops they were growing were for their landlords to ship to England. So when the one âworthlessâ crop they were allowed to eat rotted in the field, the English crown, empire, landlords, all shrugged and carried on. People starved to death lying next to productive fields.
Repost, now do your honors.

Authors, agents, publishers: every part of the industry is seeing the strain of five years of escalating anti-LGBTQ censorship.
if you'd like to show support, here are some upcoming queer books:
When Life Gives You Corpses is a brilliant YA about a cursed praying mantis who falls for a young witch. Yield Under Great Persuasion is a raunchy, but surprisingly sweet story about two men repairing their relationship. Fabulous Bodies is a horror story about a queer rockstar rising from the dead.
This is Where the Future Bleeds is a fantasy set in a vividly imagined land, where two women (who happen to kiss) are the key to healing the broken sky. You're No Better is a story about a teen struggling in the shadow of his murderous parent. Oil on Canvas is about a woman who finds disturbing paintings in the home of her dead mother.
and then here's a list of 26 queer books by Black authors set to publish this year, and a 10 upcoming books by trans authors. if you want to fight back against queer censorship, use your wallet! or (if that's not an option) you can contact your local library and ask them to stock a copy.

A leaked video from a Louisiana ICE detention center showing an immigrant begging for food has sparked backlash and renewed concerns over co
From the Louisiana ACLU's report linked in that article:
To increase immigration detention capacity, the Trump administration selected several sites in Louisiana for expansion. In September 2025, the Department of Homeland Security announced a new partnership with the state government to retrofit a formerly condemned dormitory that was colloquially called "the dungeon" for its inhumane and solitary confinement conditions into an immigration detention center at Louisiana State Penitentiary, commonly known as âAngola.â A former slave labor camp, Angola has long stood for the most deadly forms of incarceration, recently referred to as âHell on Earth.â The detention center at Angola, formally known as Louisiana ICE Processing Center but colloquially referred to as âLouisiana Lockupâ or âCamp 57,â houses approximately 180 individuals daily, with capacity to more than double that number. Reports from the facility immediately highlighted substandard care, with a total lack of medical support, failure to provide adequate hygiene or medications, and a lack of potable water. Multiple individuals in the facility went on hunger strike to protest these conditions.
Louisiana is also where the ICE facility with a sexual harassment and forced labor program for transmasculine people and masculine queer women took place, by the way.
& the Angola camp was also discussed in this ACLU report on prison slavery in the US, because of the brutal slave labor (including literally picking cotton while armed guards on horseback watch you, in 100+ F / 40+ C degree heat, without water or bathrooms).
The United States should not exist.
Just saw this too (from May 30 2026):
Immigrant detainees accuse the federal government of 'inhumane' abuse and treatment at Camp East Montana in El Paso, Texas.
Four detainees at the largest Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in the U.S. filed a federal lawsuit on Saturday alleging human rights abuses, "horrific" conditions and "severe medical neglect" at the facility. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, details "inhumane" treatment inside Camp East Montana on the U.S. Army's Fort Bliss military base in El Paso, Texas. The suit describes a litany of abuse allegations, including a lack of medical care and physical violence at the hands of guards, and accuses the government of human rights and constitutional violations. "Detained people are regularly subjected to severe beatings or sexual harassment by guards; squalid living conditions; spoiled and inadequate food; no meaningful programming or recreation; inadequate access to basic hygiene products such as soap, razors or nail clippers, outbreaks of disease; and limited or no access to sunlight," according to the complaint. According to the complaint, the center's guards beat Gerald Akari Angye, one of the named plaintiffs, so severely he had to be hospitalized and placed in a wheelchair. Angye, who has been at Camp East Montana for just over a month, claims he was then locked in solitary confinement for 15 days. "No human being should ever have to go through this," Angye said in a statement released by the American Civil Liberties Union, one of the organizations representing the detainees. "I have already experienced torture in my home country of Cameroon and I never thought I would experience such severely violent treatment by guards here in the United States of America." Another detainee identified in the complaint only as Navdeep, a former mail handler with no criminal history, says he experienced dirty toilet water flowing into his sleeping area, difficulty accessing cups for drinking water and breathing problems because of excessive dust from the desert. Navdeep wore the same clothes, including underwear, for three weeks, according to the lawsuit. "We could die here, and it feels like no one here would care," Navdeep said in the ACLU statement.
& from March 30 2026:
In El Paso, Texas, 911 calls reveal conditions in the nation's largest immigration detention camp.
VERONICA ESCOBAR: I have long been worried about a public health emergency within the facility. KOCHERGA: El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar has toured Camp East Montana several times since it opened last August. During a visit in late January, Escobar says she was warned to stay out of an area because of an outbreak of tuberculosis. ESCOBAR: Oh, no, ma'am. You don't want to walk in there. No one in there has been tested for TB yet. KOCHERGA: Escobar says she asked why none of the staff entering and leaving the area wore masks and was told using protective gear was a personal preference. There was also a measles outbreak in February. The calls to close the camp intensified after three people in custody died. DHS says two deaths are under investigation. Nationwide, more than two dozen people have died in ICE custody since October. Dulce says she's relieved she's been released and reunited with her family but worries about the women still at the camp. DULCE: (Speaking Spanish). KOCHERGA: Tears welling up in her eyes, she says they're people who also have families waiting for them on the outside.

Article date: April 1, 2026
From the article:
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. â A Tennessee library board has voted to remove its top librarian after she refused to carry out an order to relocate more than 100 LGBTQ-themed books. The Rutherford County Library Board voted 8-3 Monday night to fire library system director Luanne James. The decision followed a dispute over moving the books from the childrenâs section to the adult section. Board members said the material promotes âgender confusion.â James had pushed back on that directive, saying the move would violate First Amendment protections and go against her professional responsibility. âI stand by my decision and I will not change my mind,â James said during the meeting. After the vote, her attorney read a statement on her behalf calling the firing unlawful. âLibrarians should not be used as a filter for political agendas,â the statement said. âI stood up for the right to read, standing for the citizens of Rutherford County.â

Y'all if you're American please email your politicians and senators against the parents decide act. I'm fucking begging because we're reaching a tipping point.
Quick and easy link to both find your congressmen/women and giving you a quick and easy way to copy / paste the message into it. You want to oppose. It's an act that will demand that all major OS makers integrate a direct forced age verification control into all OS.
I received a comment on this that I figured would be very helpful- it's a template for communicating with your representatives. Be sure to use it for reference
Dear Representative [Name],
I am writing to express my strong opposition to H.R. 8250 (The "Parents Decide Act"). As your constituent and a concerned citizen, I believe this bill introduces unprecedented risks to digital privacy and security.
Specifically, I am alarmed by:
SEC. 2(a)(1)(B): Requiring age verification to even use an operating system creates a mandatory "hardware lockout" that ends anonymous computing and forces users to hand over sensitive identification data to major corporations just to power on their devices.
SEC. 2(a)(3): Mandating that OS providers create a system for all app developers to access verification data is a massive security vulnerability. This effectively creates a centralized API of user identities accessible to thousands of third-party developers, many of whom may lack adequate data protection.
This bill does not protect children; it creates a centralized surveillance infrastructure at the OS level. I urge you to protect the privacy of your constituents and vote NO on H.R. 8250.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
[Your Zip Code]
This is a hell that us down under in Australia are already living in, and itâs not even effective at what it claims to do in protecting children.
Given that, in the wake of this mandatory identification policy, my country seems to be moving to hand over its citizens biometric data, like fingerprints, Face ID files, and identification documents, over to the USA and to ICE to maintain the visa free travel (ESTA) we have, I strongly urge any US resident to send these emails, or make calls.
But if you canât do that, the most powerful thing you can do is spread the word. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, anyone who can help.
My reach will likely be small, and so I donât know if this will mean very much in the grand scheme of things, but I cannot stand to see this tracking happen to another population as it did to mine.
And if you think it wonât affect you, it will. All anonymity goes out the window when your accounts can be linked via your personal ID
I wish you all luck in preventing this act from going through.
I called my representative and left a voice message!
Hereâs the 5calls script to make it easy! https://5calls.org/issue/age-verification-internet-privacy/
