all the people who normally fatshame/make fatphobic jokes that are suddenly popping out of the woodwork to be "concerned" about ariana grande/cynthia erivo/michelle yeoh's possible eating disorders... the cognitive dissonance is so absurd to me. if you don't want people to be anorexic, then you should fight the stigma against being bigger. commenting on anorexic people's bodies does not do this; it just validates their ed and makes them want to be skinnier. but it's easier to question the sick person than it is to uplift a mid or plus-size person. it's easier to make fun of someone who feels the need to become super skinny than it is to create a world where they don't feel that need. it's easier to criticize people than to love them...
