HAPPY EASTER!

I got like 10 of these which just makes me laugh because like. Yeah i get tons of hate but i lowkirkenuinely dgaf all this does is full the spite inside of me. Anyway the only reason I'm answering this one is because it gives me a valid reason to brag about my friends. Have a list.

@notyoursentientforest is probably the second oldest friend i've ever had, which means a ton to me because I'm shit at keeping friends. She's incredibly smart and talented, and way super gay in a way that you can only be proud of, because it's so cool. The 2000's cottagecore lesbians want to BE her.

@s4m-1s-l0st is one of my most dedicated readers and I am so incredibly grateful to them for this, to the point where they've shown me how beloved I am outside of platforms like tumblr. Their ORV content is beyond incredible and I stalk their page a ton.

@sleepy-ssi is an incredibly talented artist and another beloved friend of mine, we don't interact tons but they are incredibly intelligent in ways that I can't even begin to understand.

@knarroweddown is (no offense) probably my favourite artist on this whole site. I treasure their DKST comics, and even fanart for other series. They're part of an almost dead fandom they are DEDICATED to reviving and that is beyond admirable. They're a good author and a good gamer as well. The balcony I can throw myself off in minecraft would be nothing without them.

@finallylanei-2503 is such a shocking person to me. It doesn't feel real to say we've barely known each other for even a year. Our fandoms overlap a lot, and she is beyond dedicated to understanding what other people enjoy. She reads things for friends, not because she understands what they're about, but because she's asked to. She is kind and generous, and a lovely person to be around. Like Hestia, if Hestia was british. She's a deal pack with Luci, and I don't mind remotely (even when I say I do) them yapping their mouths off wherever. My notifications mind, but they suck anyway.

@thechildofshadows is ironically, probably my second oldest mutual on this website. I met her right after some bad experiences and I was raw and vulnerable and unstable and we didn't talk much, but that was ok. I reached back out when a book for a mutual fandom came out and I didn't want to read it, and she summarized it from me. It spiraled from there. I couldn't ask for a better co-creator of Graytemis, nor a better co-author.

@octoberbeans69 might be dead, but she does a fucking MEAN courfyerac. Like. Seriously. It's fucking insane. Her plotlines mean everything to me. They're incredibly funny and entertaining, to the point where I wrote 7k words based off it, and could still do more because they're that good. Just don't mention Panera Bread and Aaron Tveit around her. It's not a good combo.

@cossie-fauchelevant is unironically probably Cosette in real life. We've had endless talks about fiction and books, and it was her I think that told me that my copy of MPHFPC was moldy, and not haunted, even though its more preferable to believe it's haunted. She is probably the exact opposite of media illiterate. She's like grok, if grok read classic books.

@livingfungicorpse is an incredibly talented artist and emcee fan, even though some of his paintings are antagonized by his cat. His DND character is beyond cool and I'm very happy I got to be in a campaign with him.

@calico-cows is unironically very dissimilar to me. We disagree on a lot of things, but it's ok. I enjoy hearing his opinions regardless, and he's good at talking about things he likes. He was also in my favourite campaign ever (<- ive only ever been in one), and is an extremely talented activist.

@prouvairesverse is probably the most dedicated and unmedicated person I've ever met. Her addiction to Jehanparnasse should genuinely be studied, but not in a bad way. They have such a good grasp on the characters anything they make about them is so incredibly detailed and in character, it's like fae is legitamately Victor Hugo reincarnated. Big fan of bunny soup.

@moral-panick is a funny guy. I accidentally relapsed him into Les Miserables content, even though we met through Merlin. We share a ton of fandoms, and I'm glad to share them with him.

@aly221bbakerst is beyond resilient. She is brave and strong, and I don't think half a million people could go through what she's gone through. She's an incredible bedwars teammate, and the most incharacter morgana I've ever seen.

@littlefallof-rain is bossuet. I might never forgive her for the chickens, but she's made some banger posts (government milk) and government milk 2, she's an incredible artist, and really, really dedicated to her bit as Bossuet. Her final form will be bossuet when she goes bald. She's an incredible minecraft builder too. Even if I can't call Marius Pontmercy slurs in her Musain.

@knotanowl is particularily special to me, as almost 50% of my fanart binder is entirely compromised of drawings he's done. He might live in a tree in fancy shoes, but he draws really, really well. We share tons of fandoms, mostly due to the fact that Owl is Omnipotent, but that's besides the point. I would trust him to save the world.

@barjarjinks my lover. mostly kidding. She is beyond beautiful in so many ways, and probably my second favourite artist ever (first come first serve). I will never forget how I watched Alien Stage with her on call and she said she "probably wouldn't like it" and was sobbing and making fanart before she was done. For a Napoleon stan, she's incredibly intelligent (not even just glazing, i feel intimidated), and I could listen to her talk about poetry for hours. Her OC's are extremely well thought out, and the only complaint I've ever had is she doesn't make more content of them sooner.

@combeferres-mothematics is a cryptid. I don't know why he is, or what he is. But he is. Rene Descartes HATES this guy. Still. His art is incredibly good, and when he's dedicated enough, he can talk for HOURS in the most impressive ways about things he likes. It's insane. No other person has ever achieved the level of autism Joly has.

@finnick-says-shit is probably the smartest fetus I know. He IS the one that magas talk about when they say post birth abortion. His OCs are beyond cool (they lowkey me), and I will forever be grateful to him for introducing me to rohan x jameson. I'm very glad I got to be his friend, even if his ideas are questionable at times, he's never been so drunk he crossed EU borders.

@probablydancingg is like the younger version of me, if I was cishet and neurotyp. Not remotely in a demeaning way. She's way stronger than I am (in terms of DOFE), and for seeing as much shit as she has, she's got tons of heart. She's the best person to terrorize, and I'm glad she and Lanei are a deal pack, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make her this annoyed. It's like staring in a mirror, but if you could ragebait the mirror.

@granhairdo without a doubt, my literal carbon copy. I'm not even joking. For as similar as Luci and I are, me and Sage are probably duplicates. We were born in complete opposite social situations, and we've seen the same sides of the world and came out the same way. One of my truest allies without a doubt. Her neandrethal-inspired-art really inspires and shocks me to the core, and without her, the PM holy trinity could never be complete. The montfreaks need her.

@clowndyke-bar is hilarious. I don't know them very well, but I know they're passionate about their music on their MP3, and there have been a few times where our hyperfixations crossed over completely. They spot red flags from miles away, and alert others like paul revere.

@communism-rainbows if I had a nickel everytime I was best friends with someone named ari, I would have two nickels. Isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice, right? this entity can be found naturally spawning at a sainsbury's car park, generally with an Enjolras. He is incredibly odd in the best way :) Creator of the bingle table and probably the universe.

@ryuu-from-the-grave is the best KNW soldier anyone could ask for. If there are no KNW fans in the world, both me and Ryuu are dead. Their fanfiction is beyond good, and their ORV content never ceases to amaze me.

@jyeibhethebius will be forever remembered for his contribution to the bingle table. Also for his dedication to the best thing on planet earth, Gatsby. He's very crafty and good with gubblewugs. His cat looks tasty.

@youngthursday is a crazy person to be friends with. From gooning over their Enjolras art in october, to periodically harassing them about my baby javert fic, I wouldn't trade it for the world. He might be a scotsman, but they're almost a real human!

@bingqiufannumber1 I've only had Kato for a few days, but if anything happens to her, I'll kill all of you and then myself. An incredibly talented artist, who happens to truly understand the meaning of peak media. A wonderful hypeman too.

thought i had everything figured out, turns out i don't know crap. i keep oscillating between celtic and norse paganism, both with an everpresent slavic influence (i'm from czechia! czech and slovak pagans hmu, i'm not being funny, i want pagan friends).

what feels the most sacred to me is nature. i'm actually in uni studying field ecology (i specialise in mires!) so my studies play a big role in my practice. if anyone has any nature deities i could look into, please head over to my askbox or inbox! despite being at this for years, i'm very behind on research (uni takes up the overwhelming majority of my time), so even seemingly obvious suggestions are very welcome :)

i would, overall, describe my practice as eclectic. i do what feels right. choosing just one path to follow without ever reevaluating feels very restrictive, my experience is more like following a path, then wandering off to smell the flowers deeper in the forest, then finding a different path and following that one in my desired direction until i stumble upon a different path again. and that's alright.

“Lancelot’s on his way to challenge you to a duel,” Merlin said cheerfully, entering Arthur’s chambers with his usual disregard for Arthur’s peace and privacy.

“He’s—what? Why?!”

“Cause you’re a dirty pervert, that’s why.”

“Excuse me?!”

“Don’t look at me; those were Lancelot’s words, not mine.”

“Lancelot called me a dirty pervert.”

“Yes. Something like that. Gwen told him she caught you looking at her—you know.” He made a crude gesture at his chest at which Arthur wrinkled both his brow and his nose. “So now he has to fight you about it, I guess.”

“I didn’t! I wouldn’t,” Arthur protested, feeling his cheeks flush disloyally.

“Try telling Lancelot that; I doubt he’ll believe you, especially since I told him how you were ogling the butcher’s wife in the marketplace the other day. You’d better be careful, Arthur, or you’ll have people thinking you’re some sort of sexual deviant,” Merlin said, not looking at all upset about it.

Arthur glared at him. He could not very well tell Merlin that he had in fact been looking—looking, not ogling—at the butcher’s wife’s and Gwen’s chests. Merlin would never understand that it had not been done with the lecherous motivations of most men, but in the pursuit of scientific discovery—an experiment, per se—and would simply take the mick out of him as he always did.

They were all his men ever talked about: women’s… busts. The size of them, the shape of them, how soft or firm they were, how heavy, the colour of their—particulars. He grimaced at the thought. His men were like dogs around them, panting and drooling all for some wobbling bits of flesh. And yet, for Arthur, they had never been anything other than a cause for some mild embarrassment, or, when he’d had enough of his knights’ blathering, a training session so rigorous they could no longer speak.

So, yes, he had been looking. But only to see if he could muster up a little of that stirring in his belly which he was supposed to feel from looking at the protuberant lumps.

It had been a failed experiment. He’d felt nothing at all, except for a hot prickle of shame for putting his eyes where they ought not to be. He supposed he deserved whatever humiliation Lancelot might bestow on him, even if he had had purely educational intentions.

“Arthur?”

Merlin’s voice snapped Arthur’s attention back to his chambers, and the menace there within.

“Do you want those nice salts in your bath?” Merlin asked, rolling up his sleeves.

“What?” Arthur asked dumbly, since Merlin had an affinity for befuddling conversations, and not because he’d been distracted by the sudden forearms.

“I just thought—for your muscles, after Lancelot beats you.” Merlin’s dimples appeared then, and Arthur felt his gaze, completely of its own accord, linger. He scowled, feeling suddenly very hot and angry.

“No, I don’t want any rubbish salts,” he snapped. “And he’s not going to beat me!” He stood, seizing Merlin by the scruff of his neck and forcing him bodily toward the door. “Get out!”

“What?!”

“Out!”

Merlin, as was his custom, did not go quietly, but instead made weapons of his bony elbows and violated Arthur’s ears with a slew of insults and curses heard only before in the fifth circle of Hell, or from Gwaine. He got in one surprisingly well-aimed kick to Arthur’s shin before he was shoved unceremoniously from the room.

“Fine!” Merlin huffed, straightening both his posture and his jacket. “See if I ever do anything nice for you again, you git.”

Arthur slammed the door in his face.

Merlin’s always felt compelled to press on bruises. To grind the callus of his thumb against a weal. There’s something redolent about the pain of it — the grounding force, the quiet zing, the time-greyed memory of rushing blood, a heavy blow, the softness of the skin before it came.

So when it happens — a single slip, his hand too slow, Arthur’s eyes for once too keen — Merlin cannot help it. Returns, in the wake of Arthur’s golden rage, to be sent away again. 

And again.

He doesn’t stop even when they build the pyre.
