ever since i learned about ghost buildings i haven't been able to stop thinking about them

Working in food service is so surreal because like... nothing I do for people is anywhere close to life and death, but some customers absolutely act as though it is. I look a woman dead in the eye and solemnly inform her that unfortunately we are out of oat milk, and I see her heart shatter in front of me, right there at the bakery counter at 8 in the morning. I feel like a handsome TV surgeon informing someone that their beloved fiancée died on the table. He’s gone... I’m so sorry. We lost him. We are out of oat milk

the fact that there are people on this site who didn’t even know what terf MEANT before seeing that one post saying “spell it out, trans exclusionary radical feminist, if you’re gonna call someone a terf” is just depressing as hell for… so many reasons

someone sent me an anon earlier that was like “i told someone not to derail a lesbian post and they said i was a terf and i’m crying because i don’t want to be associated with those disgusting people” and i’m… it’s so bad how much terf has been misused

the word terf has basically become interchangeable with Extra Bad Person or Person I Don’t Agree With and if this site actually cared about trans women they’d stop fucking using it so liberally

it’s really convenient for tme people to erode terf into meaninglessness because it means they can use it for any cause they like and get to outright ignore trans women and transmisogyny that they themselves are often complicit in, almost like they’re doing this shit on purpose 🤔

It took me about 15 seconds in to realize what was happening in this vid, but the second I did, I legit came. This is… I got chills and got so much validation for my theories about tap and pretty much any genre of music here…

Just so ya'll know. They're gonna loophole this which is why we have to spread this information. I work at a pharmacy and I can tell you that a lot of these insurance companies only "Cover" them. Here's what has been happening: You go to your doctor to get PrEP, they write a prescription and send it to the Pharmacy. When you get there they tell you that insurance isn't covering it. You say that the law says that they have to. They say that it will, but not through THEM. The insurance company says that they'll only cover it through a "specialty pharmacy" (which on the one hand, fair enough, NIOSH standards for drugs state that if you are handling the pills then there are specific forms of PPE you need that we at retail do not have, but on the other hand that doesn't matter if we aren't opening the freaking bottles) which will then either mail it to you or ship it to the pharmacy to take it out of the box, scan it in, and bag it. Which is what we'd do normally anyways except with the added step of making you wait 2-3 business days to get it. And because technically they "cover it" it's not a law violation. But they're hoping that you'll not want to wait and just pay the $3000 out of pocket.
