is that song actually character-coded or is your brain a character-shaped hammer looking for lyrics to nail down somewhere
I love how these are from an Unreality subreddit but to my eye they just read like regular Tumblr shitposts. Did we cross-pollinate or something

Someone on Reddit is showing off her mother's beautiful beading work. She is rightly getting all the praise and love.

I cannot emphasize enough how exactly accurate this is to working in production

rewatching cotbp again as one does. and like. james actually really traded his entire moral compass momentarily (however skewed it may have been at the time) for elizabeth. overlooking the law he built his entire life around btw. the lives of several of his men lost on the promise that she would marry him. even when she didn’t, continued to bow his head to her by allowing will and jack to escape the noose that was promised them. the trembling in his voice when he asks where her heart lies. but still the first to fully acknowledge will’s making of the sword when his skills went ignored the entire first half of the movie. still giving jack a head start (in front of his subordinates!!) and i’m Not supposed to root for him
i am no longer fucking asking

Hey everyone. There's a new youtube feature that rolled out just yesterday that's raising some privacy concerns.
People in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, and Singapore can now share videos and chat with friends directly within the YouTube app. The update bring
This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.
If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.
This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.
To turn this off:
Go to your youtube app settings
Go to Privacy
Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"
Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.

ID: the meanest thing you do to yourself is pretend you don't want the things you want. shrink the desire before anyone else can see it. call it unrealistic before someone else does. and then walk around with this low grade starvation you can't name because you buried the appetite so deep even you forgot where you put it. wanting things is dangerous. i know. it opens you up to disappointment and to looking foolish and to reaching for something that might not reach back. want it anyway. the alternative is a life of pretending you're full.
there's a bit in the commentary for COTBP where keira knightley is like "look jack! it's the only time you get to hug me or touch me or cuddle me :)" and it is, in fact, the only time in the movie norrington and elizabeth touch, save for a bit in one (1) deleted scene where she takes his arm for 10 seconds.
jack [sparrow] knows that norrington will catch elizabeth rather than chase him, so he aims tactfully when he tosses her back to the navy:
and like. i just think it's nice that neither of them acknowledge this moment at all: elizabeth isn't pulling away and norrington isn't interrupting the action to notice that it's happening, despite all the complicated feelings that would otherwise arise. there's a certain—i don't think comfort is the right word here, but trust that they know each other well enough that it's not worth reacting to? i know there's a lot going on in this scene, but it's coming on the heels of a dreadfully awkward proposal AND an exposing swim in the harbor, and it's still not uncomfortable.
they're out of society's clutches in DMC, but i do really like the physicality of how elizabeth does not help to toss norrington into the muck, but gently helps him up and turns him over rather than just offering her hand
and in AWE after a year (or more?) apart, not really knowing who is alive or dead, when elizabeth trusts him the least, her instinct when trapped in a bad situation is still to rush for him—and norrington replies in kind by pulling her immediately into a hug.
and it's this (+ the mention of her recently deceased father) that makes elizabeth remember "oh right, i can't believe this guy actually". the idea that norrington=safety in some deep part of her mind, despite how little they touch, despite all the circumstances that changed, is very special to me
