the 'empowerment' thing is really simple, and that is that if doing something gave women real power, men (not a few individuals, as a class) would be doing it. it would also grant you actual power, which is not a feeling but the capability to exercise control over something (industry, family unit, commerce, governance, employees, your rights, etc). men aren't sexually degrading themselves for fame, they're having women do it for them. doing so doesn't grant women any real power and, I'm sorry to say, but any empowered or liberated feeling it grants them is an illusory power that is in fact the satisfaction of knowing they're able in some way to achieve the approval of men, something we're socialised from birth to crave. now let's stop messing about with this word lmao we know these outfits aren't giving anyone real power
